Does anyone have a picture of the 12.00 cake that you can order at the restaurants? Are they o.k. ???

Ever have the small cake at like Olive Garden for a special occasion? That's pretty much what to expect.

I got one for my daughter 2 years ago and it was decent sized and on top of it there was a big flat candy that was Mickey Mouse, I think I have a pic but I would have to find it. Hope this helps. We are going back in 23 days:cool1: and we are going to get her one again, as it is again her bday.

I got one at Chef Mickey's last year. It was decent. With all the food and desserts you get with dinner I think its plenty, plus you don't want to worry about storing it in the fridge back at the hotel.

If you go to the Anniversary/Birthday Cake thread and go to the last page (page 126) you will find a couple of pictures of the cake you are looking for.

:)

From Garden Grille last November. I ordered it a couple of weeks prior which is how they added "Mommy" to the cake. It was completely thawed and was actually quite good! We had one later in the week from MK Bakery at LTT which was $33 and it tasted the same...

Just returned 2 wks ago and celebrated my dd's 5th b/day. I ordered this cake 48 hrs ahead of time from the Contemporary for our Chef Mickey dinner. This cake was only $16 and I even asked for the special picture of Princess Belle on top. Well worth the $ I thought and the look on my daughter's face when they brought it out was priceless!:thumbsup2

thank you, what a nice cake for $16.00 . Today I called whispering canyon because that is where we are having dinner on her actual birthday. I asked if they could write her name on the plain h.b. mickey cake, the woman said ... no we don't do that. I mentioned to her that saw a cake from a different restaurant that did . She said no. I was not even given a option of a $16.00 cake. It was 12.50 or 40.00 . Or order one from the G.F. and pick it up yourself. After seeing your cake my husband said , lets go there!! But I was looking forward to taking my kids to the whispering canyon. Do you remember who you called for your cake? Maybe I'll get her one for our first night there because we will be eating @ the concouse steakhouse or chef mickeys I have ressies for both (undecided). I appreciate your response and what great pictures.
Thanks a bunch

DB, not sure of your daughters age, but keep in mind that Chef Mickey's caters to children, just look at that photo! She'll be happy and its a buffet so once your husband finds somethiing he likes, he can eat, and eat and eat!

I really wish you people wouldn't post photos like that. We are celebrating my nephew's pirate: 6th birthday at CM for breakfast and I was planning on just going with the complimentary cupcake, stop tempting me! :sad2: ;)

My daughter will be "7" we are doing the character breakfast @ ohana's seeing that we are staying @ the Poly.

Does anyone know if they will do an edible image on chocolate icing? I thought I read somewhere that it had to be white icing, which I'm not all that crazy about.

I ordered my $16 directly from Chef Mickey's. They said they couldn't put my daughter's name on it because I asked for the picture of Princess Belle and there wouldn't be enough room. The phone number for Chef Mickey's bakery is: 407-824-1520.

The cake hotline number for all resorts and restaurants is: 407-827-2253.

Hope this helps!
