I was wanting to know if anyone had any pictures of either view. We are thinking of staying longer and not getting a Savannah view. Just curious as to what we will be looking at.

Jambo it will be the pool.

at Kidani - it could be parking lot, garden, pool, or entrance way

We didn't mind the view but here is a standard view from Kidani room 7913.

:goodvibesThanks for the pics! Was the room noisy facing the parking lot?

Has anyone stayed at Jambo standard? Is the pool really noisy in those rooms? Any pics?

Opinions on both?

Thanks!

We just had pool view rooms at Jambo this past march. We loved them. They were not noisy at all. In the morning I had my coffee on the balcony and watched them have their little pool slide opening ceremony with the kids. Our DGSs loved that. We didn't hear any loud noise no matter what time of day or evening even when we had the balcony door open.

Goofydad, based on the angle of your pictures, and the location of the porte cochere and the pool/fitness center, it appears you were in a room that is in the wing furthest from Jambo House. I was under the impression that nothing beyond the lobby was open in that wing of Kidani. Can you clarify what rooms/sections are currently open? I asked for a pool view so your answer is very interesting to me with our upcoming trip.

I don't mean to answer for Goofydad, but we were neighbors at AKV; I was in room 7915 almost at the same time as him. There are 2 wings opened to the north of the lobby - the area that you thought was not open yet. If I turned my head to the right, I could see the pool area vegetation and a little bit of the water park. There was alot of traffic noise when sitting out on the balcony. You deal with Magical Express and DisneyCruise Line buses at the portecochere and the Magical Express baggage truck coming every hour - sometimes backing up with the beep, beep, beep, as well as the regular Disney Transportation buses stopping and pulling away from the bus-stop across the road. It didn't bother me to hear all the noise when I was outside on the balcony, but I could hear the bus engine vibration inside the room when it was pulling away from the stop sign - even with my white noise fan going. :headache:

Off in the distance you can see Highway 192 and some of the establishments in that area, as well as the construction trailers for AKV. Honestly, not the best view right now.

Thanks for the input rlduvall. Rethinking my choice for our trip. We will probably spend a good bit of time around the resort and pool, but also trips to Jambo and the parks. When I do online check in a few days from now, will it be better to try and get a room half way down the other hallway towards Jambo. I know parking and elevator up to the room will shorten some of the walks, but maybe this would be a better overall location for access to everything AND a whole lot quieter and more restful during sleep time..... Any additional suggestions from anyone who has stayed in different rooms???

When we stayed at Jambo in 2007, our standard view room was directly over the entrance on the 2nd floor, overlooking the driveway. Cars, taxis, towncars and buses pulled up to this area throughout the day and night. It was noisy and smelled of car exhaust. We were spending quite a bit of time at the resort and asked to be moved.

The yellow dot shows where are standard view room was located

Here's the view from Jambo Standard #5436. It was the first room from the elevator, and I don't remember any noise.

AKV Jambo House Room 5466 (Standard View 1 BR). Loved the room, view, and proximity to amenities! :thumbsup2 Staying standard view again next month.
