It's just not Thanksgiving without the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. One of these days I'm going to go see it in person. I don't know if they show it on the TV over there. Here are a few pics that I thought you guys might enjoy:
I've never seen this one live, but many years ago I got to march with my university marching band in the Philadelphia New Years Day parade (the mummers parade), and it was the most amazing atmosphere.
Was that not one of the greatest movies ever made? I love it! Fills me with warm fuzzys everytime I watch it.
Can you see the parade on the TV over there? I don't imagine they would (televise it), but you never know. I'd also like to go to the Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena, CA. Someday.
Steph, we don't get the parade on tv over here - but it'd be a day off work if needs be to watch it if it was.
Miracle on 3rd St? Sorry, meant 34th St (some 'fan' huh)
Yep, one of our all time favourites and still a little teary in all the right bits. We'll be watchin it tomorrow ,once the house is decorated. Good old,Chris. Always gets his own way in the end.
I should have said the "original" Miracle on 34th Street, the remake was a waste of time. Natalie Wood was the prettiest little girl in the world.
Bummer that they don't broadcast the parade over there; I think people might watch it. Do you get to see the Rose Bowl Parade? It's pretty neat too.
Spotty, you're doing great if you already have your tree up. We're lucky to get ours up by 15th. All of my neighbors are out hanging their lights. DH is writing an essay, so that's going to have to wait too.
