I really enjoy entries in my questbook and comments! (Please, pretty please) There are also pics from a cross-country roadtrip my daughter and I took in 2006. One of the places we stayed at in Montana, we booked through II using DVC points.

I really truly hope that people enjoy the pics.

so is the Grand Wailea one of the destinations where you can stay for a week with 160 points? I think the Grand Wailea has been featured on the travel channel with samantha brown maybe? the lobby looked familiar!

Luna - Grand Wailea is not one of the places you can at for 160 points. That's why I would have preferred II. It took about three years worth of points to stay at the Grand Wailea - but worth every point!

Maui is indeed Da Bomb! Ever since we got back, I can hardly think of anything else! With any luck, we'll be back in 2011!

We've stayed there on points as well, what type of room did you book and were you upgraded? We booked a direct water view and were upgraded to the concierge wing, top floor....

We booked the deluxe ocean view - no upgrades. But we did go at a busy time.

Oh bummer we went during early December, so it was a quiet time... next time will be next June, I won't count on an upgrade.... oh well... can always hope....

Did you get to see any whales Chris in early December? We're going back in 2011 & I am not sure when I will make the ressies. We won't be able to go early in the year before whale watching ends, but maybe in December.

Thanks for sharing your pictures, they are beautiful. I am so happy to see members really can use DVC points on non-Disney vacations. We are new DVC members at SSR. We just sent in our paperwork a couple of weeks ago to DVC and closing late May. We love Disney but definately would also like to use points on other vacations, if wanted. Seeing your pictures gave me the peace of mind I needed.

Chris, didn't you stay one night with a late checkin? I would guess that might be why you got that fantastic upgrade.

We've stayed at the GW quite a few times now and have always received exactly what we booked. 'Course none of our stays were with DVC points.
