Someone asked me the other day whether I could post pics from Iceland. Here are a couple my DH took last summer.

Beautiful photos! I loved the ones of the puffin!

Absolutely stunning photos!!:thumbsup2

Thanks so much for sharing!!:)

I can't look. DH has put the kaibash on my dreams of going to Iceland. I don't know if you remember, but our friends/neighbors are from Iceland. He and his daughter have moved back, and the wife has one more year of fellowship training before she goes back.

They brought the kids Icelandic Easter eggs last week. They were really neat. It was a hollow chocolate egg with a little chickie and bunny on the outside, filled with jelly bean candies. I wish I knew what all the Icelandic words meant on the packaging.

What gorgeous pictures! Is he a photographer, by any chance?

Nope. He told me t tell everyone that anyone could take these pics. It´s all about the beauty of Iceland ;)
And of course he borrowed a great camera from me :rotfl2:

Lol. I do remember. The funny thing is, that my neighbour from across the street is a good friend of your neighbour (the man). They went to school together some years ago. Small world! :thumbsup2

My kids got the same type of Easter eggs as they brought your kids. :)

Absolutely breathtaking! What a beautiful place to call home.

OT - Freja what types of cuisines do you have in Iceland? Is ther one that is considered the native one?

The one that could mostly be considered "native" is not exactly appealing and something NO Icelandic people today eat (well apart from 1 day a year as a tradition). It consists of rotten shark, sour sheep testicles (and no, I´m not kidding), sour whale fat, roasted sheep head...o.k. I´m sure you get the picture. Let´s stop now! :rotfl2:

Our modern cuisine is wonderful and consists mainly of seafood and lamb. I highly recommend it! :thumbsup2
