Feel free to stay with Disney, but its you that is missing out. I LOVE Disney, dont get me wrong, but they are the BEST at doing a "disney cruise", but they are NOT the BEST CRUISE company out there, if you go trying to compare every other company to a Disney Cruise, you will always come up short, they are never going to have that Magic feeling. BUT if you look at the actual cruise itself, the entertainment, food, ports of call, there are other GREAT brands out there. There is a reason Celebrity is consistently named one of the top cruiselines out there. Disney is WAY overpriced compared to what you can with other cruiselines, but that is just Disney in General. Yes the Oasis will have a LOT of people, but it also has FAR more activities than the 2 current disney ships. I cant wait until the Dream comes out, it looks like it will be great. Disney is a great Cruise line, but there are LOTS of other great ships also. With Disneys Parks, they are untouched IMO, no one even comes close, there is Disney and there is everyone else. But it is just not true with the cruises, Disney is Great, but they are not the only great company out there.

Not too mention the fact that you can take at least 2 cruises for the same price of 1 Disney Cruise.

Thanks for the memories! i sailed a 9 day out of NY on the Crown in 2007. i actually had a massage in one of those Cabanas in the Sanctuary - the one on the right, if memory serves me. Oh, how my back would love one of those right now!!

One thing I missed was a quiet place to sit and read though. The library wasn't set up that way and there were people all over the place.

Do the Disney ships have libraries?

I have not seen libraries on DCL. If you saw the library on the Queen Mary 2, you'd go crazy. They have like 6000 books!

Great pictures!m I took the crown on a 9 day cruise in 2007 with 35 of my closest family members. Great ship!

Mike were you on the bloggers cruise? It sounds like the same time frame. If you were was the tour of the ship you took with all the bloggers? I heard the tour lasted around 5 1/2 hours. Princess made sure to answer all of their questions on that tour from what I have heard. I was listening to the This Week In Travel podcast and they did the show while still on the ship.

That might have been a good thing. It was interesting listening to people talk about cruising who normally wouldn't.

I enjoyed the ship's tour very much. I love backstage / behind the scenes stuff a lot. The price was high, but I think they do that to keep the groups small and manageable.
