Picnic in the Park...

I don't know if I have the correct title, but does anyone know if Picnic in the Park is still being offered at Animal Kingdom? It is a lunch that is ordered ahead of time, then you go and enjoy the morning at AK, later you return to pick up your lunch and enjoy your meal at one of the picnic tables. (or something like this) I just remember reading something like this quite awhile back.

Back several months ago they announced that Picnic in the park would be "seasonal". But did not say what "season" it would be offered.
I don't think I have seen any reviews or any news regarding it since early this year.

I was just on all ears the other day looking at menu's and there was an updated menu from Picnic in the Park listed on there. I don't know if that means they are opened or if it was a misprint.

I'm interested to know this as well. We LOVED doing this two years ago, and were thinking of doing it again when we're there next month. I hope they are still offering it.

There have been no reports of a pre-ordered picnic being available in AK anytime in 2010. There is, however, a grab and go area where you can get the sandwiches that were offered in the Tier 1 picnic, plus drinks, chips and desserts, and assemble your own picnic.

The menu linked above does state the pre-ordered picnic is "seasonal" which is exactly the information WDW put out about the picnic as of 2010. However, it's up to WDW as to when and if they will ever offer the pre-ordered picnic to the public again. There have been no reports whatsoever of it coming back yet.

According to Allears.net, it doesn't seem like it's seasonal. It looks like it's ongoing.

The pre-ordered picnic has been "seasonal" since January 2010 despite the Allears entry. I'm not sure it can even be considered "seasonal" since it apparently hasn't been offered at all in 2010.
