Picnic in the Park

I was wondering who had tried the new picnic in the park in AK and what they thought about it? How was the food and how were the picnic spots?

I would like to know too. Plus why are the meals for 3 people and up? doesn't Disney believe that 2 people are a family??

I was about to post almost the same question, glad I looked first. The other part to my question is it says you have to use 3 ADULT counter service credits to purchase the meal for 3. Since when do they track the children's/adult's seperatly? All the times I have done the dining plan the credits were lumped together. New change?

if you do a search there was a few threads about this lately, with reviews. Mostly very good, although, I also dont understand 3 and not 2. I have small kids, so I would not get a meal for 3 for all of us. I read the water bottles are small too. Food reviews were good though.

Nope, they're still together. They just take 3 credits (or more if you get it for more people).

Our family did the picnic in the park last week on our trip and it was great! You order your food and time at the Kiosk to the left near Guest Services. We used our DDP and got the chicken meal for three, two sides, comes with small bottles of water, and a desert foe three ( or whichever plan you pick). The food was picked up at the stand near Tuskerhouse and we didn't have to wait more than a few minutes. The food came in a green tote bag was fresh and hot. I recommend it and the orzo pasta

1) That is just the way they set it up.
2) They have no idea how many of the diners will be kids or adults.
3) So, charging only adult coupons makes good sense.
