Picnic in the Park info

I think that I read that Picnic in the park is now seasonal. I am looking for any and all information about this. I have seen pictures but I can't find teh thread they were on.

Where do you order/pick up?
What are the options?
How does the DP work into this?
How is it packaged, to travel?

Any other tips or advice would be great

1. Depends. If you order the chicken, you pick up in Africa at Kusafiri Bakery. If you order the sandwiches, you pick up in Dinoland somewhere.

2. Tier One - sandwiches (there are a few to choose from) or Tier 2 - rotisserie chicken. You select sides - the number of sides you get depends on how many persons you're buying the picnic for. One dessert per person is included. The only included beverage is a very small bottle of Dasani water per person.

3. One counter service credit per person. There's no child's menu so you can use either child or adult credits. You can't mix tiers on one order; everyone on the same order must order from the same tier.

4. Packaged in cardboard, placed inside a carry bag that you get to keep.

I was wondering if this would be a good thing to order and bring home for dinner?

Anyone know how late pick up is?

The sandwiches are in paper bags inside the canvas bag. We use our bag for grocery shopping all the time now.

The sides will be in waxed cardboard containers and the chicken packaged in a box.

So does anyone know exactly what "seasonal" means for picnic in the park? It looks like something I'd like to do for our upcoming April trip, but I wonder if they will be offering it?

Nothing has been announced about when Picnic in the Park may be available. If they decide to offer it again who knows how they will handle it and the offerings that may be available.
