Picnic in the park at Animal Kingdom

Planning our next trip to WDW in October and need to see if anyone knows if they will still offer the picnic in the park meals at AK then. It is a great option but I am seeing things that say it ended in January 2010 I knew that if anyone out there knew this....it would be my DIS buddies!

We tried to do it in February and were told it was discontinued. I was very disappointed and hope they bring it back!

I was hoping they would bring it back too! We had planned on doing it last October, but then my son got the flu and we missed our last AK day. I had originally heard rumors it was like a seasonal thing, that they stopped it for the winter, and would bring it back the end or April, but that didn't happen! So maybe it is gone for good? I'll be disappointed if it is, I thought it was a great idea...

its a shame if they don't bring it back we really enjoyed it I think it would be better if they would be more flexible with what they offer and just make it something you order with 24hr notice and you prepay for it that way if people don't show up they won't loose any money.

We were just at AK last week and were told that they don't do it anymore. I was really disappointed because I've wanted to try it ever since they started it and now it's gone!!

We are soooo bummed we were really looking forward to this on our trip! Well, fingers crossed, maybe they will bring it back by the time we go

We just did this on our April/May trip. It wasn't the same as the hot food, but it was fine. We got 3 nice size sandwiches, 3 waters, 3 bags of chips and 3 desserts for $25, plus the green reusable bag. You don't order it in advance right now, but that may change for the summer. You just go to one of the stores, can't remember the name, and pick your stuff when you are ready.
