My niece is going with us. She is a VERY picky eater. Our reservations are @

Crystal Palace
1900 Park Fare
Liberty Tree Tavern
Garden Grill

I know she will have to pay at CM, CP, 1900, and GG because of characters and I know she will eat at LTT but

Ohana's
Boma
Chef de France
Le Cellier

Can she sit at our table without eating at Ohana's and Boma without paying buffet price? She might be able to find something at France and Le Cellier.

PLUS, what about the tip for us? She makes it 6. So IF she doesn't eat do they still make us pay the 18%?

I want to add, the decision for her going was spur of the moment AFTER reservations and I would have considered her eating choices prior if I had known she was going.

At Chefs and Le Cellier you will only pay for what you order, but Boma and 'Ohana are all you can eat places so I am not sure how you can avoid paying. I recommend leaving her in your room.

'Ohana is family style so she would have to pay. You didn't mention what age she is or what she likes to eat.

If she is a child, at 'Ohana they will get a kid's meal from Kona Cafe menu if they don't like the food at 'Ohana.

Boma is a buffet and if she goes in and sits with you then yes she will have to pay.

Bummer. I was hoping we wouldn't have to pay for food she wouldn't eat. I guess it is going to be an expensive chicken and mac/cheese meals at Boma.

At any buffet or family style all you can eat meal, everyone at the table age 3 and over must pay for the meal. It's not just character meals, it's all of the all-you-can-eat meals. The amount of food any individual person eats is not relevant, everyone needs to pay for the meal. Guests who eat two chicken nuggets will be charged the same as guests who eat everything from the buffet.

Tipping discussion is restricted to the Tipping Info sticky thread at the top of the Restaurant Board, but to answer the question all parties of 6 or more are required to pay an automatic 18% tip. If she comes along and just sits at the table at Le Cellier or Chefs, you are still a party of 6.
