What is the food like in the parks? Debating if a meal plan is worth it since my DD has a very particular palate

In the parks its mainly burgers, fries, pizzas, hot dogs.

The hotels have buffets.

Theres a few table service restaurants in Disney Village.

In 2023 I did a family and friends multi generation trip. My mum is Celiac / Gluten free, my niece was at 8 and a picky eater, and one of the party was vegetarian.

We did full board standard meal plan as we stayed at Santa Fe Hotel.

We had breakfast buffet at the hotel every morning. This had the usual hot and cold breakfast items and everyone had a good breakfast. My niece loved being able to choose her food items.

We had a counter service lunch each day and every one could find food they liked.

Our main evening meal was a mix of table service and buffet and again my niece loved the buffets.

During the planning stages my sister liked the meal plan idea, mainly to make budgeting easier. We knew that all food was paid for and I booked the main meal each night for around the same time my niece usually had her dinner at home. The buffets worked out the best, as with the diet restrictions and my niece being picky, everyone could food that suited them.

She will eat most types of chicken. Roasted, fried (nuggets and whole chicken) and baked. She eats pasta with butter, hot dogs, pizza sometimes, we are working on getting her to eat steak…rough life right 🙄

Most quick service restaurants and buffets will be fine for her. Agrabah Cafe (with Middle Eastern cuisine) might be a bit too adventurous.

I would have a good look at the menus with a fixed price. For example the Princess Dinner restaurant (Auberge de Cendrillon) has a children's menu for 50 euro, there is chicken on the menu, but it is French cuisine.
