You are NOT a freak. HOWEVER, I will be VERY disappointed if you don't get a picture taken with the characters. It is a must do--it brings out the kid in you. And they are fun and your kids will love looking at them. Now, PROMISE ME!!!!!

I have issues getting my picture taken and pretty sure I would feel like a dork getting one taken with a character. I can't promise. :( But I will try.

Alright NC pickles... how bad was that storm last night at your house? It woke me up about 2am because the flash of lightening was so bright! It lightened (sp?) here almost constantly from 2-2:45, and the thunder was shaking the house. Some of that thunder was so loud and sharp that I jumped up to be sure a tree didn't fall! And the most amazing thing... Avery slept right through it all. :confused3 But she did come to my bed about 6:30 with a bad dream... can't get a night alone after all.

It was BADDDDDD here last night. The lightning was horrible and the thunder was LOUD!!! I am glad it is not like that tonight. We woke up at Disney one morning about 4 with a storm like this. The girls were wide awake!!! By the time we REALLY got up, it was beautiful outside!

Depends on who you ask! :rotfl2: A doobie the way I meant it is "person" in an endearing way. It also means something that Cheech and Chong smoked. :rotfl2:

A "doo-bee" came from the TV show, Romper Room. Miss Penny.. or whoever your local host was, would say... "Be a good doo-bee not a bad doo-bee!"

:)

Eeyore here says you have to do at least one picture or he is giving his ears away. And guess what????? I found my Tigger ears on a website and ordered them. They are in the mail to me as I write this. :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

And there you have it! I couldn't recall where I first learned it, but it's a word I have used forever.

Oh boy. You've got it bad! LOL

Great, make me hyperventilate and barf all over a character. Which one would you like me to hurl on?

Where the heck is everybody today? Did I scare them all away?

I just quit reading when you started talking about changing resorts! :rotfl:

Well, obviously Kari can't control her daughter and she can't get on her computer!!!!

SKIMMER!! I was going to camp today!

That was at NOON to pick him up. So what is her excuse all morning?????

Well... some of us still have to WORK around here! Not everyone gets paid to sit around DISing and eating DQ. ;)

but like any man, there are times when he can be a real :eeyore:

If you're gonna do it, you might as well do it right... go for the big cheese himself! And be sure to have Marky taking pics of the whole thing!

What a long day today! Camp is about 45 min drive to get to. Then we stood in a cow pasture for almost 2 hours watching each camper shoot off their rocket. I got a sunburn on my b**bs. Well... that didn't sound right, but you can figure it out! Then we went back to the picnic area where they sang and did a skit. Then we got Tucker's stuff and drove home.

Tonight we went to get their school supplies, as school starts Monday. $163.86 later... we are now ready for school. :scared1: Irritates the crap out of me to buy supplies to clean the classroom and tissues. Next they will probably ask each kid to send in 24 rolls of TP! :sad2:

:scared1: I can't do THAT to Mickey. Are you insane woman?

School supplies are crazy expensive. I can't complain about having to buy tissues and cleaning supplies though. My sister is a teacher and the money she spends out of pocket is downright asinine. The school boards should be ashamed of themselves. And that's all I'm going to say about that topic. ;)

Sounds like camp was a fun time. I always loved that part of summer. My child refuses to go to any kind of camp. Sigh.

What is Rita's water ice. It sounds like something right up my alley!!

Like Italian water ice - basicallly flavored crushed ice really fine- its yummy. There just so happens to be one near the car place ...

Maybe if Mark gets in the photo too? Character meals are the easiest to get a pic. Everyone acts like a kid, its fun being silly! Maybe you can just watch others and decide if it is for you.

Hey - there's a place in MK you can make your own mickey/minnie ears. This sounds cool to do.

Oh sweetie. You DO count. You had already popped in this morning and said hello. I'm only here most days because otherwise I'd be in bed with my head covered up.

I WAS on earlier, wasn't I?? Thanks for making me feel better ... especially after I just ate mucho calories! Glad the DIS and us pickle friends can help you cope each day. You help us (at least I can say me) each day:goodvibes

School starts Monday??? How do the kids like that schedule? I'm still getting used to no homework, no getting up real early, etc. I was already thinking that summer is almost at the half way point and I haven't done anything on my summer to do list yet:eek:

Oh yummy. I would love that then. I chew ice all the time. Drives my hubby insane. And no, I don't have an iron deficiency. LOL

I'm not sure if hubby would get in a picture or not. He's "Joe photographer" and not sure if he'll let anyone *gasp* touch his precious camera. I'm mad at him right now so I might just push him in the moat.

I've heard of that place. I will probably make my own. Not sure about mister crankypants though.

I'm glad you found us and enjoy posting with us! I know it's hard when you work and have family life. When I go back to work, I'll probably never be on. :(

No, I definitely don't think the teachers should be paying for it OOP. In NC, our teachers already have to take mandatory unpaid days off and buy lots of supplies OOP. But somehow NC managed to hire a superintendant for $300K a year, only to spend money to fight about it in court, and then be told it was illegal to hire him to start with! Here... flush some more of my money down the toilet!

We call them Snowballs... YUMMY!!!

They are used to it, so it doesn't bother them. All the neighborhood kids are in year-round school too, so they don't really know any different. What I am dreading is getting Tucker up at 5:30 to get him on the bus at 6:15. I will probably carpool him as much as possible, but school starts at 7:30.

No way!! You can still find time to DIS a little, or wait ... just don't go back to work at ALL :goodvibes

YIKES, Samantha's elementary school starts at 9:00AM!! and we live 5 minutes away. When she moaning about getting up, I'll remind her it could be MUCH worse.:)

School starts at 7:30?!?! OMG. That is crazy.

OMG, Janet! :rotfl2: You have very creative ideas. I think I will do photopass and then toss him in the moat! Hee!!! That's PERFECT! :lmao:

At your service!! I'm much better solving other pickle's little problems than my own. My door (and laptop) are always open/on:)
