Hi All,

Yes, another question from me. ;)

I am headed to the most magical place on Earth in about 5 months and want to be in-the-know on the VMK goodies.

I have a certificate for finding 50 Hidden Mickeys (I have no idea what the prize is) and a certificate for obtaining a high score on Jungle Cruise (for a tent room).

So I went through the VMK guide (THANK YOU Mal) and saw the information for:
  • High School Musical Quest
  • Thrill Seekers Quest
  • Tomorrowland Quest
It looked like that is all of the current quests. (which ouf course could change before December)

I also read that you can shop at certain places and receive the cards for VMK goodies. One of the things I saw were gold Mickey ears, which prompts a question? Are they still giving these considering that HCoE is over?

The others look like virtual shirts and pins, which I have no interest in, really.

Have I missed anything or does that cover the items you can obtain for VMK Central and shops while visit the World?

Also, one other question.....Is VMK Central strict about the 'one certificate being redeemed every 90-days?' clause or do they really not care? I was curious because people come home with with like 10 cards for Mickey TV, 20 spacesuites, etc.

Thank you in advance for all assistance. :)

The last I heard they were giving the gold ear cards out still but for only as long as they had stock when that ran out they will be gone.

If anyone knows any thing more concrete or current please post.

One other question, please:

For the Thrill Seekers Quest: What if I do not want to Ride Kali? Can I still receive the prize? I am not big on water rides, but especially not in December. ;)

you do not have to ride. You get your quest stamped where you line up for the ride, no riding necessary.

But don't miss it! It is a really "cool" ride!

1- Fantasyland Magic Mirror (only available at Disneyland) (Purchase any magic trick at the Main Street Magic Shop)
2 - Happiest Celebration on Earth Pin (DLR-Purchase any pin at the Astro Blasters store in Tomorrowland or WDW buy pin in Frontierland pin shop-Frontier Trading Post )
3 - Golden Mickey Ears (Purchase gold mickey ears at any Disneyland hat shop except the one in the Star Trader or at the Chapeau at WDW)
4 - Retro Mickey T-Shirt (DLR-Purchase any T-shirt in the Star Trader in Tomorrowland or Sir Mickeys in Fantasyland at WDW)
5 - Disneyland Retro Penny Press ( DLR-Purchase candy at the Pooh Corner Honey Spot in Critter Country or WDW Frontierland at Prairie Outpost & Supply)
6 - Wanted Poster (only available at WDW) (purchase an after-ride photo at Splash Mountain or Buzz Lightyear) BuzzLight yr reported not to be giving cards as on 8-13-06

not sure the DLR cards are even still available.

I was there in April 2007 and NONE of the above places had any cards, or did they even seem to know what VMK was. So don't be surprised if nobody has a clue about what you're talking about. The only place they even had a glimmer of a clue is at VMK Central, and that's if the person behind the desk knows what he or she is doing. It is very frustrating when you go there hoping to get VMK stuff out of it besides the quest items!!

:)
