Picking up passengers at Universal without paying parking??

We are staying at Hard Rock Hotel and my husband will be picking up our rental at the Holiday Inn on Kirkman Road at the end of our stay. I will be staying at the park with the kids while he gets the rental. Where can my DH, pick us up once he gets the vehicle (without having to pay a parking fee)?

You can be picked up at the front of HRH or at the drop off by the parking garages.
