Picking Up at MCO ?

We hope to stay with friends in December. They will have a car, we won't. They MIGHT be picking us up at the airport. Is there a way they could do this WITHOUT parking? I know here at Newark, you can keep circling the airport with ease, going through and checking out the arrival terminal and if the person is not there, just driving around again. Is this possible at MCO? My plan is if they can, to call them once we arrive and tell them to leave. Figuring by the time we get the luggage and outside, they would be in the area.

Yes they can pick you up at the baggage area but they will need to keep circling if you are not there. They will not be allowed to stop for any lenght of time if you are not there. Sometimes the airport patrol will allow a couple of minutes, but only if they stay with their car. However, they do not care how many times you circle around.

But whatever they do, do not let your friends leave the car unattended in the pick-up area...they tow and they don't waste any time about it!

Thanks...that's exactly what they do at Newark and I figured as much at MCO.

If you and your friends both have cell phones, this should be no problem at all. Just call when you have your luggage.....then they will know when to drive to the pickup area. This way they won't have to circle around 5-10 times.
