picking oranges near WDW

Does anyone know of an orange grove near WDW where you can pick your own oranges?

Showcase of Citrus on 27, just north of 192 going toward Clermont. Remember though citrus products are a late fall and winter pick. You will not find any oranges to pick now. We found out about that grove here on the Dis last year and did pick in February. It was great and a highlight for the dgks. They do have a web site.Grammy

I'm not sure, but if you google Showcase of Citrus I think they have a schedule. They will probably list a phone # so you could check with them. It really is a lot of fun. The fresh squeezed oj is delicious! Grammy

Just be sure it's an orchard with the undergrowth trimmed way down. The groves with underbrush are a favorite spot for rattle snakes!

The undergrowth at the orchard was not very thick. Nobody said anything about rattle snakes before we went out to pick, and they were very informative about the picking process. Yikes! talk about a thread killer! LOL ! I will definitely ask the next time we go there. Grammy

Snakes were the first thing I thought when I read this. It sounds fun, but I would never do it for that reason, I'm a big chicken & scared to death of snakes. The oranges are probably soooo good though!!! Have fun if you're able to go!
