If we get a spot at the pre opening drop can we select the afternoon?
I’m thinking we’ll start in Diagon Alley and do all of Studios we want to do before heading to IoA on Hogwarts Express. So I’m figuring a 1 or 2pm return time would work for us. Is this a good strategy?
If we try for an 11am spot again can we get a 2nd virtual line spot before we’ve used the first?
Basically holding 2 afternoon spots for the same ride at once? (Or 4 if we both get lucky!)

I don't think the return times overlap. So the block of virtual tickets opened up at 8 am will have different times than the block at 11 am, which will be different than the times for 2 pm, etc.

You can use a second phone to make an additional reservation for your group...

Oh yes we will definitely both try!

So at 8am times for the entire day open up? Or just morning?

Can you elaborate on this? We have our first trip coming up in a couple of weeks. Thanks!

When you use the app to reserve a virtual ticket, you specify the number of riders (I think it is 1-10). If you have another smartphone in your group, then use the app to make another reservation for the same number of people...

We are at Universal this week. Did virtual line queue the last 2 days for Hagrid's. The virtual queue became available about 10-15 minutes before park opening. We are staying at Portofino Bay and were able to reserve from our room. During that morning drop only morning times came up. We didn't get to use it at all yesterday since the ride was down all day. Got a 9-9:30 virtual queue time for today. Got in the queue line at 9:10, which started back at the Mystic fountain in The Lost Continent area. Took 2 hours to get through the line and ride. With the unpredictability of Hagrid's, I would get anytime availabile. If you try for afternoon, the ride may be down. We have Express passes due to staying at Portofino. Even during this busy week, we haven't had to wait for anything long except Hagrid's and food lines. That's my other protip: make some dining reservations so you don't have to wait.

That’s interesting about the morning times only showing up. We may need to rethink our plans and be flexible....

2 hours with virtual queue? Yikes! I hope that’s not normal...

We were thinking of eating at Leaky Cauldron and 3 Broomsticks. Have you eaten there this week? Wondering what waits are like..

We ate at Three Broomsticks yesterday. You do mobile order and hit "prepare my food" once they seat you at a table. It took about an hour in line to get seated at Three Broomsticks. Just a slower process and the tables are spaced apart. Once we were seated, it took about 20 minutes for food to arrive. We did mobile order at Fast food Blvd in the Simpsons area today. It took about 30 minutes to get seated at a table and about 30 minutes for food to arrive. Definitely something to plan into your day. Made a lunch reservation for Mythos tomorrow. We'll see how that goes. We have also had dinner reservations at City Walk every night. That has worked well.

We had a 5:10 return time for Hagrid’s. It took us an hour and ten minutes to ride the ride. They definitely had more people in line then when we did it on Sunday.

What time were you lined up for 3 Broomsticks?

Someone else recommended Mythos. I tried to call but got a busy signal. How did you get the reservation? Let me know how it is!
I have a 4:45 reservation at Toothsome. Not sure if we’ll keep it or not. I thought it might be a nice break but people were saying since we only have 1 day to not waste time at a sit down meal in CityWalk. But sounds like 3 Broomsticks can take just as long...

They seem to to have issues with the ride lately.. it was down today at the start early park admission. So was Forbidden Journey. That would be annoying.

Does anyone know what a typical wait is for Hagrid’s on virtual line?

We lined up for Three Broomsticks a little before noon. I googled Mythos Universal and there's a button "Make a Reservation". They will email and text you a confirmation. Fastest food options I've seen are the Mardi Gras options at Universal Studios. We did Toothsome and Hard Rock for dinner with reservations. Worked well and it was a nice break, but we're here 4 days.

Thanks! I booked Mythos at 6. Maybe we’ll do that instead of Toothsome. We may take an afternoon break at hotel and come back to parks for dinner and to see WWoHP after dark. It’s open until 10 that night.

Changing plans (again!) and thinking lunch at Mythos and dinner at one of the WWoHP restaurants. Thinking lunch will be more crowded at WWoHP than dinner and we shouldn’t have to wait as long for a table at 6ish as we would midday? Sound about right?

Wow, 30 minutes to be seated at a counter service restaurant? Is there literally no where to eat without waiting? We have our first Universal trip coming up and this makes me nervous, especially as we were mostly planning to do quick service and eat outside.

Thanks, I assume the second device needs a unique Universal account? Right now we just have the one.
