Picking days in July

We are booked at VGC for July 8-13 and thinking of purchasing 4 day base tickets when they are available.

With the crowds in July, how would you structure your 4 park days between DL & CA for a Sat/Sun/Mon/Tues? I am assuming weekends will be busier and dining tougher to get on the weekend. Would you rather start or end your trip with DL?

Any input is appreciated!

I like to start and end at DLR. 😅 It depends on your group. If you’re getting genie + I’d get park hoppers.

We usually do 4 days but in the order of DLR, CA, DLR, DLR. For us, CA is a one day deal unless you just really love it or have someone in your party that's either really into Cars or Avengers.

Our plan for the upcoming June trip with DLR day 1 is favorites and hitting as many rides as possible sans Star Wars Land. CA is day 2. We get park hoppers to go back and ride Guardians or Incredicoaster again but we don't feel CA needs more than one full day. DLR on day 3 is Star Wars Land, favorites, and things we didn't do on day 1. DLR on day 4 is take it easy and just enjoy DLR for what it is. We like a nice bookends to our trip.

As far as your days, weekends will be busy but if you go in knowing that and set your expectations, you'll be fine. One thing that might help you is July 9th has all but the top Key blocked out. That could help with crowd levels. The Believe Key is open to all the other days on your trip which could cause higher crowds. If you can rope drop, you'll be good till around noon.

THanks for this but the 8th won't be a park day for us unfortunately. We know it will be busy and we are staying at the Grand so we plan to rope drop stay through lunch and then head back for a swim. We would also like to go back one or two nights if they have some evening entertainment like WOC or Electrical Parade. I know there aren't return dates for either yet.

Sorry, I looked at the calendar wrong. I meant the 9th which is that Saturday is the one that has the Believe Key blocked. That could be a good day to go to DLR. I would definitely look at park hopper tickets as you may want to just have that flexibility to jump to one of the other parks in the evening for the shows. WOC, Main St Electrical Parade and Fantasmic should all be back by then.

Awesome! You are right, I think DLR on our first day the 9th is probably our best best.

I'd 100% get park hoppers. Worth the $60 per ticket, especially for 4 days. The flexibility is priceless, especially when you're staying on property! Then I'd do DL, DCA, DL, DL as the starting parks.
