Picking Breakfast Time

I was just reading through my confirmation letter and I noticed it said to book our breakfast and other dining by calling them OR waiting until we got there. We are going the end of June, so I assume it will be a fairly busy time. My question is, should I call to get the earlier breakfast time or is it really fine to wait until we arrive? We are staying at Sequoia Lodge.

I know everyone on here is probably tired of the WDW mentality so many of us from the states have, but it is honestly unimaginable--and hard--to show up with no dining reservations ;)

Thanks!

You can't book breakfast unless it's at Cafe Mickey, you are allocated/offered breakfast slots when you check in

You will get a card with a breakfast slot for each morning of your stay. You can choose your time if available. Don't worry if you get and earlier or later time than you want you can show up at any time and they will let you in. If it's available you can also swap a breakfast for breakfast in the park usually at Plaza Gardens, ask when you check in.
You can reserve other dining by phone I think up to 6 weeks in advance. :thumbsup2

If you stay 5 nights or longer, you will get a VIP sticker on your hotel easy pass enabling you just go whenever you like (it's my favourite part of my trip usually!), maybe ask on check it if you could have one, you never know! :)

Its funny about this because we had this last week staying 4 nights at the Sequoia Lodge, but stayed 5 nights in December at the Cheyenne and didn't have one!

I've never had one at the Cheyenne (only ever been four nights there too) but I've always had it for the Sequoia - though one trip was four nights and the last one was 8! Maybe the Cheyenne is just more relaxed in late breakfast? (Gotta admit though, walking past a huge queue one morning made me a little uneasy, until one woman stared shouting at us we were skipping the queue, to which the CM told them we were "VIP's" and allowed too.....so we played this up haha!!)

We stayed 5 nights in SL and didn't get that too.

We're staying in SF for 6 nights this time. Will let you know if we got the pass :rotfl:

we have been given the vip breakfast pass in SL when staying for 5 nights, twice without having to ask for it. Once they did not automatically give it to me so I just asked the CM if we could have it. She went to check with someone in the back office and came back saying ok:goodvibes

If staying for 5 plus nights I would always ask for it - it is such a god send having one.

Also from what I know, these are not available in Cheyenne or SF regardless of the lenght of your stay

That would be interesting to know because we're int he SF in October, and I was sure I read on here that two people last week DID have VIP passes....but it's very possible I dreamt that! lol

I've been given VIP breakfast pass at the Santa Fe - it was for a shorter trip too, as I've never spent more than 4 nights at any onsite hotel in one go.

Oooooo interesting, especially as we'll only be there for 4 nights!

I think it depends on the CM! I read on tripadvisor that someone who stayed for 5 nights was told you only get it if you stay 7 nights....

It totally must depend who you get checking you in. We went two weeks ago for 5 nights and was told that you only get it for 7 nights! (Dhidra I think you read my TR:-) We did get one in the end but only because I asked, and it was very much stressed by the CM that it was only because we were celebrating a special occasion while we were there.
