I have no idea? There is some room behind rear seat but probably not enough for all the groceries we usually buy at start of trip. Normally we have four people in car when we do our trip shopping. No luggage issues as we use ME inbound and DAC on outbound. Can't you stow luggage or groceries behind the seats?
Thanks for the tip regarding the insurance. I had no idea that could be an issueCheck to be sure that your credit card rental coverage or insurance includes pickup trucks. Otherwise you may need to buy the rental company collision wavier to give yourself enough protection. If you bring some large trash bags, those will protect the groceries (except frozen items) long enough to get to your resort. Adjust things so the ruffled top does not face up after affixing the zip tie, so rainwater does not collect and then drip inside. Frozen items, even in a bag, must not be in direct sunlight or in/nearly in contact with a metal surface.
Easy enough. There shoukd actually be room in the back seat, or you couod drop everyone off and go shopping. Or, make two of 'em ride DMEI have no idea? in my Ford F150 there is no room behind second seat as I have to often clean rear window of grandkids art work. 2 are now in booster seats and can reach window when foggy you know where this is goingCan't you stow luggage or groceries behind the seats?
be careful with bungee cords that they do not mark the side of truck if you plan to tie tarp over bed plus if you over the bed remember to tie down over tailgate so tarp doesn't slide forward. don't ask how I knowOP, I was wondering the same thing. One of the best rates I found was on a full size pickup with crew cab from Dollar. But, I need to be able to transport groceries. I was thinking if they don't have tops on the truck bed maybe I could bring a tarp and some bungees along. That wouldn't take up much space in the carry-on.
