Flight arrives in Orlando at 4:00pm on a saturday. what time would I expect my luggage to arrive in my room?
Considering picking it up and bringing it on the bus..??
( to do this I just don't put the yellow tags on the luggage? )

We usually arrive before noon and head to the parks and luggage is there when we return.
This trip we will hang out at the pool for this first day.
would hope luggage is there by 8 - 9pm ????

Yes, if you want to pick it up and bring it on your own to the bus leave the yellow tags off.

You could always pack your pool stuff and maybe a change of clothes in a carry on and still have the luggage delivered.

Say 90 minutes from plane arrival until you check in at the resort. Then 3 (possibly 4) hours until your bags show up. That would put your luggage delivery between 8:30-9:30.

I probably would let DME take care of the bags. BUT:

A) Make sure you pack everything you need for when you arrive and the next day in your carryon (you might have to wear the same outer clothes two days in a row).
B) If you're checking more than one bag, CROSS PACK. Everyone should have at least a single change of clothes in every bag you check.

These "tips" should be followed ANYTIME you're flying, regardless of destination.

Emphasizing: you SHOULD pack your pool stuff and whatever else you'll need for the first 24 hours at your destination, any time you fly. Well, not the pool stuff if you won't be swimming.

For that late of an arrival, I'd pick it up myself. It once took 9 hours to get our luggage (with a morning arrival) and another time it took 4 hours (with a late afternoon arrival). Saturday arrivals have been the most problematic for us.

Thanks, Where we won't be rushing off to a park when we arrive, I think we will pick up our luggage and load it on the bus… if our room is not ready we will have them hold the luggage. Then If we crash/sleep early we won't be disturbed by them delivering the bags late at night…
