Pick up from hotels

Hello!


I have arranged DCL transportation from AoA for my Dec 9 trip. Two quick questions regarding pick up from the hotel:

1. If we get afternoon pickup will characters still be in the port for pictures when we arrive?

2. Is there anything Christmas related that I may miss getting tickets for?

I'm not sure about the Christmas question but the only time we took DCL transportation from Pop/AoA the characters were no longer in the terminal when our bus arrived.

IN the 4 times we have arrived at the port from a WDW hotel there has not been a character around for photos.

The characters are out for photos before boarding begins and may stick around for a little bit but they do not stay in the terminal all afternoon.

On the MerryTime cruises there is a VERY fun gingerbread house assembly and decorating activity that requires tickets. Will there be tickets remaining when you board? I don't know but I'd make it the first stop - guest services to see about tickets.
I wondered if the event could be pre-booked online like the Princess and Frozen character meetings...answer...nope
