If you were going to walk around world showcase and pick 1 food or drink item from each country what would you pick??? (preferably things that are offered at counter service or snack stands) if you cant pick just one from a certain country give me our honorable mentions. Thanks!

YES...I think this will be great! :cool1:

I don't know much about the CS and snacks in the countries and would LOVE to know good things to get in Dec!!!

I'm subscribing to hear suggestions! I too, will be there in December and I'd love to hear what's good and what not to miss.

Of course it's all a matter of opinions, but as I haven't spend much time in the world section of Epcot, and I'll be fortunate enough to have the opportunity to do so this trip, I'd love to hear what everyone has to say.

I will add, however, these two things: I did NOT like the soft pretzels in Germany. And the second thing is I understand that the bakery in France is not to be missed.

Bakery in France is good.
Pretzels and brats not good in Germany.
Beer and everything good in Britain.
Sushi good in Japan.

I prefer the almond covered pretzel from the Kringla bakery in Norway but I am almost positive others will write about the school bread there. It seems to be a big hit.
I am living in Norway right now and their school bread is much smaller than the one at Disney. I don't know how some people eat that whole thing!
Also try the Rosa Regale 'wine' in Italy with a piece of dark chocolate! Mmmm...

We actually like to do this sometimes (we usually don't stop at *every* country in one night though!). No alcohol suggestions, though, cuz we don't drink.

Mexico--Chips and queso
Norway--Cinnamon roll
China--Pot stickers or Peach Oolong tea
Germany--Bratwurst, Bavarian cheesecake, or various chocolate candy
Italy--Latte or Tiramisu
America--Cinnamon pecans or funnel cake
Japan--Hi-Chew candy
Moracco--*this is the one country that neither one of us like anything from!
France--Creme brulee, Napoleon, Le Petite Ecolier (box of cookies from kitchen shop)
UK--fish & chips, or any of the Cadbury candies
Canada--no snacks or CS items, but we adore Le Cellier and I would go for the maple creme brulee alone!

The Tonosama Combo from Yakitori House in Japan. I'm addicted to that thing. It's a must do for every trip. I even learned to make the sukiyaki beef b/c I crave it so often. It's got beef, chicken, shrimp tempura and rice. A perfect combo to me. As for the other countries, they're good but nothing is a must do that sticks out for us.

Mexico, nothing..the food is disgusting grisley chicken thigh meat

Norway, School Bread

China, eggrolls, peach oolong schnapps ice tea, beef noodle bowl

Germany, brat, kraut and a pretzel

Italy, some fancy chocolate

Japan, melon kakigori

USA, coffee!

Morocco, a piece of bakalava

France, anything from the bakery

England, a cup of tea

Canada, maple sugar candies

Mexico: Conga fruit drink
Norway: Lefse
China: Orange chicken or tea
Germany: I'd buy a pack of HIT cookies from the gift shop
Italy: cannoli
America: funnel cake
Japan: kaki gori or shogun combo from Yakitori House
Morocco: the dessert bastilla from Marrakesh (sorry I love it so I had to do sit down just for it)
France: omg, anything from the pastry shop. I haven't had a bad thing yet
UK: short bread or maybe chips
Canada: nothing from them for me

I have also wondered this, so I am subscribing.

Thanks for all of the input and I would love to hear more! I haven't been there in 10 years so I cannot comment. At least not until I get back in January!:rotfl:

I love the Food and Wine festival for the spontaneity of choosing what you like, I really like the salmon that is served at what seems like every other country, plus the grilled steak from African or any other country is good too

I prefer the almond covered pretzel from the Kringla bakery in Norway but I am almost positive others will write about the school bread there. It seems to be a big hit.

Mmmmmm I love those pretzels! I would take them over school bread any day!

Mexico - churro
Norway - rice cream or school bread

Germany - bratwurst & beer
Italy - Rosa Regale Wine
USA - can't be bothered
Japan - tempura
Morocco - schwarma sandwich or platter
France - Napoleon and glass of wine

Canada - Beer

So many choices I would probably answer differently on a different day!

anyone else??? Is there anything in the gift shop at canada??? All i can remember as far as counter service or snacks in canada is the popcorn stand....
I think this sounds like a lot of fun. I know we loved walking around the food and wine festival doing this same thing and i figured we can make our one little "food and wine festival" out of this.

Mexico - Margarita (I don't drink but I still enjoy the virgin one with rock salt on the rim!)
Norway - School Bread
China - Hot & Sour Soup (have to go sit inside for that one) or if you must be counter service, one of the blended frozen tea drinks from the stand by the lagoon
Germany - Bratwurst sandwich with fresh sauerkraut
Italy - Cappucino
America - uh, hmm, skip it
Japan - Kaki Gori or Tempura Udon up in the Yakitori House, with an iced green tea
Morocco - Baklavas
France - Baguette from the pastry shop or a Quiche - their quiche is GOOOOOOD
UK - Beer from the outside stand, I guess
Canada - maple candy from the gift shop
