I am looking for great weather and lower crowd time which will be hard. I would like longer park hours. We usually stay at a moderate. No kids just two adults.

I usually go in October. Weatherwise, its usually perfect. Weve been lucky with absolutely no rain during our October trips and temps in the mid 80's with low humidity. Crowds are low-ish!

I went in 2017 the end of March/beginning April. Other than MK, parks were empty! Weather was hot though, low 90's bright sun.

Just finished an Aug trip. Never again. Super hot and humid. Lucky with rain though. During 2 weeks we only got a quick daily shower.

Many moons ago, we went in May a few times. Weather was perfect and crowds were low, but that right when AK was built and DHS was called something else!! (I forget the name)

We went Labor Day week last year and I am with you, never again. I just can't do the heat anymore like I used to. So I am looking for pool weather but not hot and humid and less rain.

I do know the Cheer competitions start towards the end of April and run through the first couple of weeks of May, which do have an impact on moderate resorts. That is why I was thinking of April 18-25.....Just don't know how much of Spring Break crowds will still be there. We want to stay at CBR, it is the only moderate we have never stayed at.

If you're flying, 11/22/20 is going to be expensive. It's the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Otoh, you should be able to catch the end of the Food & Wine Festival. On the other other hand, all your Spring dates are dusing the Flower & Garden Festival.

April 18-25 is Spring Break week for most Northeast Public schools.

We have NEVER been to Flower and Garden Festival, all of our trips (total of 3) have been September dates and one in December, which was freezing cold that year. So, we have seen Christmas and fall decorations.

I said May 2 - 9 2020 - we were there a few years ago over park of this time and the crowds were very manageable. I wouldn't say low, but not crazy either.

We're planning May 8 - 15 next year and from what Touring Plans is saying it should be pretty low to moderate.

Our usual time frame is September/October. It's still quite warm and there are occasional T-storms, but it has never interfered with our fun. We have found very low crowds as well. I don't like to make dining reservations for the most part and have never had an issue getting in to a place we want to eat (for lunch). As for rides, lines don't seem to be very bad either, half hour wait maybe? We have gone in November and December as well, cooler weather but higher crowd levels. One December, '09 I think it was, it was in the 40s in the am and 50's/60's during the day. Awesome weather to me. lol

oh that's interesting (because I looked on the WWoS website and they don't have any events loaded int 202 ugh) because we were looking for April 30th-ish next year, and Pop Century is the ONLY "value" available already. I'm thinking that is crazy......and its $193! 2 days ago, there was ONLY Pop and AoA available ACROSS PROPERTY......now there are others, but man, this is worrying me.....

MGM maybe? hahaha But NEVER AGAIN for us in October, the crowds were WAY TOO BIG.....I mean, for a week that wasn't Columbus Day, them changing EMH at MK to 7am and regular park hours at 8am? We should have known that change meant AWFUL crowds.....

Cheer competitions next year will start Wednesday the 22nd of April and go basically through May 10. The competitions on May 1-3 and May 8-10 will be the largest. If you do a search you will see a really wide range of experiences with the cheerleaders. In general, the people who think it's the most awful are those who've been at the resorts where they are. The impact on the parks is minimal. One of the competitions next year is at the Contemporary because there's a sports thing going on at WWoS (I'd have to look up which one it is and the dates), and I think that will have a bigger impact because of the proximity to MK. The resorts impacted will mostly be the All Stars, Pop, and CS. Some years some of them have been at CBR as well and some of the other moderates. The best advice for avoiding them seems to be to stay deluxe (bot not at Contemporary next year during the one that's there...)

We went this year the week after the cheer competitions ended. Crowds were lovely but it was hot already. I would go again that week though, for sure. It only rained once the entire time we were there. From your dates I would choose April 25-May 2 if you want it to be maybe slightly cooler and can deal with the cheerleaders, or May 16-23 if you can tolerate the warmer temps.

My vote was 4/25-5/2. With Easter being April 12, I know that the Spring Break crowds (at least from the Northeast) will have mostly dispersed by then. We've been late April before and its the sweet spot where its warm enough for the pool, but not real hot like it can start to get in May. We found crowds to be manageable but not low. I'm not sure there's a true "low crowd" time anymore. Perhaps in January? Also, park hours reflect crowds - if you have lower crowds, you'll have shorter park hours. Higher crowds will have longer park hours.

I completely agree with this. I wouldn’t worry too much about the cheer competitions. There are always group events going on at Disney. Usually they are at their competitions during the day and have a minimal impact on the parks. Spring break will be over. In fact, many school districts across the country have mandated state testing this week. I think it is a great week crowd wise, and the weather, although warm, will probably not be as hot as mid May. I love the Flower and Garden Festival, so this is another plus. My vote is the last week of April to beginning of May.

So bizzare. Weve had the opposite experience, but usually go later in October, for 10-12 days overlapping the 24th, DHs birthday. I usually feel Im the only American there! Lots of Europeans, but they are usually on their 2nd to 3rd week and hang out at the resort pools/waterparks more than the theme parks at that point.

And yes, I think MGM Studios

My late March thru early April trip in 2017 was the lowest crowds I had ever seen. I was really wondering where everyone was! I think it was 03/24 - 04/03 or something very close. MK was at about a 5 of 10, every other park was 1 or 2. The waterparks were EMPTY. Us and MAYBE 10 other families! That was a great vacation except is was HOT!
