Dh just surprised me by saying this week to add mnsshp to our sept Disney agenda. Awesome! But I had everything nailed down and now had to shuffle some things about. Leery of being able to get to mk in adequate time with a boma 4:30 reservation , I'm planning on cancelling it ; heading to the hotel for rest from about 2 and getting a mk or mk resort area dinner reservation for about 5 .

Already tried ltt - they have a 4 o clock but I'd rather not getthere so early. What restaurant should I go for? I'm up for character meals but also game for a nice resort sit down. We've only had chef Mickey from the area so what should I try!?

If you are intent on doing a sit down meal that day I'd make it lunch instead. MNSSHP officially starts at 7pm and it can take a while to get through the turnstiles. I would plan on getting to MK by 5pm and enjoy as the party atmosphere builds. Do a few rides, attractions then a counter serve dinner and be ready to see the shows and meet the character when the clock strikes 7!

Have a great time! And Boo to you! :wizard:

You could always have a burger at Cosmic Ray's. :)

But if you want a "sit down and get waited on" kind of meal, the only real advice I have is to avoid Tony's. Tony's is not good at all and costs a fortune.

Crystal Palace and Liberty Tree Tavern are both good meals. The Plaza is always good, too.

Have fun!

I much prefer having a TS dinner in MK before MNSSHP and MVMCP. When we've eaten TS dinners at MK resorts prior to the parties, I find myself checking my watch the entire meal and rushing to eat. So, I don't think LTT at 4:00 is too unreasonable. You could also try for a late lunch or early dinner at CRT (these spots do open if you are persistent enough to check online almost constantly) or even CP. Or, as PP suggested, do TS lunch somewhere else (maybe to coincide with where you will be earlier in the day) and then plan on CS in MK and arrive there around 5. Maybe Columbia Harbor House for CS?

for the MVMCP we ate at Cosmic Rays. It's indoors in air conditioning and the ribs are pretty good. This next trip we have CRT booked at 5:50pm. Otherwise I was going to take the monorail to Poly for Kona sushi. That starts after 5. Peco's Bills is also a good quick service at MK.

I would suggest Kona or Grand Floridian Cafe. These are comfortable table service, and a very short ride on the monorail to MK. If you get either of these about 5:30 you should easily be at MK before 7:00.

Ohana's or Crystal Palace are my top two. Both can be difficult to get into however. So you want to keep checking.

ITA, this is exactly what we do - TS for lunch, early CS dinner and in line for photos at 6:30. If you really want a TS dinner, 4pm LTT is not unreasonable.

Have you tried The Wave at the Contemporary? The food and service was wonderful and it's only a short walk to MK. Otherwise I would choose Kona or the Grand Floridian Cafe.

Sorry I realized this morning I should have posted here instead of where I had!

Ok I'm going to check into the wave and if I don't like what I see maybe plan counterservice. We were doing ak in the am hoping for a rest til about four. That's the only reason I was not loving the 4 ltt adr. Also just wanted to use the mnsshp tix to get in to mk since we don't have park hopper. We are at mk several days so I'm not too worried about getting there at four to do rides just want a good meal in the kids bellies and not to miss a moment of mnsshp!

I can totally see me being tEnse too eating off site. That's why I made the post to see if I was irrational.

Crystal palace only has a 3:20 but I'll keep checking. Thanks!!

If you don't want to miss a moment I would seriously be fed and in the park before 6pm. And have a plan of what's important to see/do at MNSSHP!

Have fun! :wizard:

I say either do a later sit down lunch, or just have a burger kinda meal at cosmic rays or any qs location. Your paying a lot of $$$ to be at this party, you don't want to waist it eating!

When we went to the MVMCP, we did a 5pm dinner ressie at O'hana. We got to the poly at 4:30, checked in, enjoyed the resort till they seat us, LOVED our dinner, then jumped on the monorail to the MK.

If you can score a 5pm ressie, you can be out of O'hana by 5:45-6, enjoy the best dinner and desert at Disney and have plenty of time to be in line for the party.

Columbia Harbour House (counter service for Dinner) early around 4pm

and Hit the Haunted Mansion as much as you can!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Then get in line for a wrist band!!

Then get a snack before the parade or fireworks!

We did this Oct. 2010, we had the best time!!

:goodvibes

We are sleeping in, have an 11:30 lunch at Le Cellier, then back to the resort for rest and a CS dinner at the resort since my grandparents aren't going over the MNSSHP with us, will probably eat about 5 and then head straight for MK.

I can't for the life of me get an Ohana dinner ADR :/ we have the stitch breakfast scheduled but no dinner which I now pine for :( . I'm going to keep trying, though for the mnsshp day I'm not doing any ADR just for peace of mind.

We have CRT booked one day so we were short a ts credit anyway, so one day was going to be two cs may as well be that one!
