I was able to get free dining for Sept 29th-Oct 7th via the Bounce Back Program. My mom was supposed to go with me, but had to cancel, so I'll be solo. I currently have ADRs for Le Cellier, Tony's Town Square, Wolfgang Pucks, Mama Melrose, Chef de France, O'hana, Whispering Canyon, and Coral Reef. I really don't want to dine at O'hanas solo, but can't think of anywhere else I want to eat either. I've already cancelled Spoodles for Coral Reef and Chef Mickey's for Tony's Town Square, so those two are out. I don't want a character meal. I like Cape May, Konas, Turf Club, Rose & Crown, and Boma, but just ate there on my May trip, so don't really want to repeat them this soon. I've done character meals solo, but don't really want to this trip. Has anyone done O'hanas solo and if so how was it? Anyway I'm rambling:confused: . What is a good 1 TS restaurant, for a solo that's not a character meal and is a good deal on the DDP?

What about another restaurant at Epcot? Germany? Norway? or the Moroccan one?

We ate at Ohana on NYE. It was just two of us. I had read so many great reviews on the boards about it and was very disappointed. They serve way too much food and most of it just wasn't all that great. They serve everything family style and brought enough food for at least 4 people to our table. I have to say that the potatoes, chicken wings and salad were delicious. Everything else was either tasteless or way too salty for my palate. We kept trying to refuse the additional courses, but our server insisted we try them. At the end of the meal, we were so stuffed and said we really could not eat dessert; our server plopped it on our table anyways. I don't think that I'd go back. I rather have less of really good food than alot of mediocre food. I also don't think that I would feel comfortable dining on my own here. I think the Biergarten in Germany might be fun for you. You will be seated at a large picnic type table w/ other parties. It's a great way to meet some new people. The food is served buffet style and it is very good. I tried a taste of everything and there was only 1 item on the buffet that I didn't care for. The beer was also very good. They have a beer sampler for around $10 and you get a small mug of 4 different beers. Very tasty.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll be back down there Dec 8th-16th and am dining with some other DISers at Le Cellier, Cape May, Planet Hollywood, Wolfgang Pucks, 50's Prime Time, Artist Point, Beirgarten, and Crystal Palace.

As I said previously for my Sept/Oct trip I have Le Cellier, Tony's, WGP, Mama Melrose, Chefs de France, Whispering Canyon, and Coral Reef.

I just ate at Spoodles, Boma, Turf Club, Liberty Tree Tavern, and Rose & Crown on my May trip.

I don't really want a character meal, but want a good 1 TS meal that I've never been to before. What I really want is some good, little known, out of the way place that I've never been to. I've eaten at all the restaurants in the World Showcase (except the upstairs place in France which doesn't take the DDP, of course). I just want someplace new. :confused3

A group of us are meeting the night of the MNSSHP Sept 30th next to the old Terrace Noodle Station restaurant. Feel free to join us. There is a thread on here somewhere about it. I believe MissPiggy is setting it up.
