We are going down in a few weeks and I want to do the pick a pearl at Epcot. I know it costs around $17 to pick the pearl out. But what i really wanted to know that i couldn't find much about are the settings that you can choose from to put the pearl in. I know theres a variety of settings for rings, bracelets, necklaces but does anyone have any specific pictures of these settings, along with price?? :confused3

Hey!
My sister and I did this last year, I don't have pictures of the setting but the one my sister got was a thin silver necklace with a swirl cage around the pearl. It was a very simple setting. I'm sorry if that isn't very helpful, but it doesn't take very long at all to do.

We bought pearl cages (with chains) on ebay prior to the trip. This is the one my daughter bought. It was $6 including the chain and shipping....

My mom and I did this on a recent trip. I picked out and ordered chains for us online (the settings don't come with chains, you have to buy those separate). Remember, the setting somewhat depends on the pearl or pearls you get; the size will dictate which settings/cages will work, and if you pull twins, you may want earrings.

There are a lot of different settings at different price levels, both gold and silver.

This! We bought a setting the first year and then someone suggested we buy the carriage setting before we go. It was 25% of the price and better quality than what we got at the location. I would look online. There are some that require the pearl to be drilled and glued to a post. If you want one of those, you'll need to purchase there, but if you can find a cage type one you like before you go it is the best way.

etsy has some reasonable settings too.

We did pick a pearl. My DD picked a black pearl so Daddy let her get the setting done there. She picked a open clam shell necklace.

I have gotten two pearls from there and had them set there. I am sorry that I don't have photos, but I had one mounted on a heart and the other on a starfish. DN had hers mounted in a clam shell. Mine cost around $75 for the pearl and the setting.

I had the clamshell charm made from the pearl I picked, and my husband got twins so I had them made into earrings.
The charm is sterling silver, but the earring backs I went with 14k white gold (I can't wear silver earrings).

Very beautiful! Last summer the guy we were standing by got two pearls and had earrings made for his wife.

We also bought the carriage online before our trip! My daughter loves it and wears it all the time :goodvibes

Thanks!

My husband sure knows how to Pick a Pearl! This was the second time he got twins, the first time was April 2013 and these were April this year. We picked again later on in the trip and he got a Blue pearl, the second one again.
I should really just let him pick :thumbsup2

As a PP said, be careful about buying a cage for your pearl before you go.

I wanted the carriage cage around my pearl and I had my heart set on it. The pearl I picked was too big for it and I had to choose something else. If I'd have bought it before I left, it would have been a waste.

I chose a heart cage and then just bought a chain when I got home. They have many to choose from in all price ranges. I'm sure you'll find something you like.
