Picasa question

Is there a way to keep Picassa for searching my entire pics file? I have 1000s of pics and graphics that its wanting to download.

AND how do I keep it from trying to download my whole memory card each time? I haven't dumped my card in ages - but all the pics are on my computer - when I pull of Picasa it still pulls all those pics up & then x's them if they are duplicats -it takes FOREVER....

one more question - where the heck do the pics go? The only way I've been able to find them has been to search - they aren't going in some logical place
