Hello All,
Sorry this took so long to post. I needed my dh's help and this is under his forum name. I enjoyed meeting you all.

Diane, thank you for organizing the meet!

Deb, I did see your husband and his friend during the half marathon. I was surprised with so many participants that I saw him. The Goofy challenge was quite a challenge. I hope it was good to them.

Tammy, I hope you enjoyed your race.

I didn't get to go to this meet, but it sure is nice to meet fellow DISers when at WDW!

This past Dec my family met up with two other DIS families and it was great!!

Great picture!!! Bill and Steven were shocked when you and your sister came up to them and called them by name. They both did pretty good and completed the Goofy Challenge.

Hey, thanks for posting! My camera died, so I couldn't do a picture. I look like the "old lady" having to sit in the big rocker!!! :rotfl2:

So glad all of you who ran had a great race! I looked for you, but didn't happen to see any of you when we saw the runners coming out of AK.

Thanks to all those who came to the meet. It's always fun, and meeting at VWL was fun for winter! So far we have done OWK, SSR and VWL meets. Where next?!?!? ;)

Hey all! It was wonderful getting together for this meet.

Katie, we realized who yall were once you got past us in Epcot. Congratulations on your finish!

Tammy has inspired me to do the half next year. We are in training now.

Good for you, Jimmy!!! :thumbsup2 Unfortunatelyk we wont be there to cheer you on next January, because we are doing an early December trip instead.

Thanks Diane!

We will be there early Dec also.

We're skipping the Disney marathon in 2007, too. My husband is doing Houston instead. And we have 25 years of marriage to celebrate in the Spring at WDW.

Jimmy, that's great. How fun that you can train together! I forgot about seeing you. Glad you figured out who we were. At the time we figured you thought we were confused, over-exerted runners.

DH and I will be there in Jan. We have friends (also DISers) that want to do the new half course. I haven't decided if I'll race. I may consider the 5K. I haven't gotten over the cold wait for the start! We'll be at WLV. Dh and I love it the most.

The Goofy challenge was pretty emotional for me and my sister. Her knee started hurting at mile 2. By 10 it hurt to run and to walk. By 15 she was in tears. It was just so hard to accept that she had to stop. She didn't want to give up. At mile 17.2, backstage at AK, we finally stopped at a med tent. She made me finish. It was sad since we had planned on doing it together.

She still can't run. We thought it was the kind of overuse injury that would go away with rest. But it hasn't. She now has a bump on the backside of her knee and plans to go to a doctor. Hopefully it's minor. She can walk with no pain or discomfort.

Deb, good luck to your husband in Houston and congratulations to you both on 25 years!!

Sorry to hear of your sister's knee problems! Glad you got your medal though! We really like to travel to WDW at this time of year, but it is too far for us to go two months in a row. We will probably be down in March again for spring training, so gotta get our priorities in order! ;)
