I posted this over on the Theme Parks board, but I know everyone over here enjoys a good pint and some sing along songs, so I'll post here too.

Spending an afternoon or evening in the Rose & Crown pub listening to the piano player has always been one of my favorite pastimes. The gentleman who plays, Leon Gregory, loves to take requests and I can't count the number of times I've seen the entire pub singing along with him.

So first Pleasure Island, now this- a very very good source just told me that they want to go with a "set" musical program instead of the pub piano, and as of 9/27/08, Leon Gregory and possibly Pam Brody (the other piano player) will be let go. Pam will have the option to audition for the new program if she prefers (I'm guessing she won't) but Leon has been told that he is gone.

I'm so unhappy about this! I always thought the pub piano was perfect in that environment and a great way to relax with some fish n' chips. Now I might as well just get them from the counter service and sit outside.

I am going to be writing a "Save Leon" letter, and I have the contact information for anyone else who would like to as well:

Now I'm going to go cry... :sad1:
