Piano Bar on the Fantasy?

Hi all! My hubby fell in love with Keys on the Disney Magic. He loved to get himself a rum and coke in the evenings and sit in the comfy chairs and listen to the soothing sounds of the piano being played. Is there somewhere on the Fantasy like that?

i dont think they do. We enjoyed a similar bar on the Wonder but havent found one on the Fantasy yet - i find most lounges on the fantasy to be too quite and awkward - except for meridian - that's where we usually chill out in the evening.

That would be okay, depending on the type of music. He really enjoyed the peaceful relaxation of the piano bar, he wouldn't like a rock band with heavy bass.

i forgot about La Piazza - the music there seems to be light pop ... still not as relaxing as a piano bar though.

there is live music in La Piazza -

Well, it's not quite as "peaceful and relaxed" as on the Magic & Wonder. It's just a wide spot in the passageway through the adult lounge area. You can see the stage and the 5 or 6 tables on the left side of this picture:

We had Clara Ohman on our cruises, and the music was a bit more upbeat (not rock style), mostly disney music than on the Magic class ships.

The closest thing would probably be the atrium. They occasionally have a piano player in the evenings.

we heard a great woman singer accompanied by piano one night, and another night was Sinatra covers.

Oh wow....okay....Clara Ohman played in Keys on the Magic so that would be exactly what he is looking for. Was she playing in La Piazza?

Well, she was in 2014 when we were on the Fantasy. She was supposed to be on our EBTA cruise this past May but had been replaced for medical reasons. I'm guessing she's better now, if she was on a recent Magic cruise. I was sad she wasn't there - didn't care for the replacement they had.

Well, our Magic cruise was in February, 2015, so that would have been before the medical issues. Hopefully she is back and on the Fantasy next September. :)

I don't believe she is cruising right now though her social media account has gone quiet so I'm not sure. We LOVED her on our 2015 EBTA. We listened to her every night! You can listen to her music on Apple Music and I think Spotify.

We loved keys too, that piano player was outstanding... yikes to the bar on the fantasy, that's quite loud looking, what's the euqivalent of that on the Dream? I don't remember seeing anything like that on the dream

does the fantasy have skyline bar? that was our fav bar on the dream, nice and relaxing and good music

I "fell in love" with Clara on the Fantasy in January - she is really good. Does Disney (very well - DUH it's a requirement!!), Broadway (really great), her own music and others music (I was very surprised at how well she did John Denver and others).

If the resident piano player is not here, then there will be a duo. Again when we were on the Fantasy, both duos were very good with different styles.

I think that you can enjoy some music and a drink here in the evenings. It's not Keys on the Magic, but it still works.

AND there is a grand piano in the Atrium where Clara and others have performed in the evenings - not a lot of seating, but again if you can get a seat, a nice place to relax with a drink and listen to some good music.

Yes, Fantasy does have Skyline bar.

On the Dream, the equivalent is District Lounge:

Not a good picture, but the stage (with electronic piano) is out of the shot to the left. The area is open to the winding passageway through the adult lounge area (Pink is to the right).

Yes, there's a Skyline Bar on the Dream, also. Different cities.

We were on the Fantasy the first week of September and they had a lot of live music in La Piazza, Ooh La La , and O'Gills. There was duo that played in La Piazza and then a man played the piano in La Piazza at certain times. He also played in Ooh La La. They also had a violinist playing in Ooh La La a few times. My favorite was Selkie who played guitar and sang in the O'Gills and Ooh La La, she was also by the pool and on Castaway Cay. This year they seemed to have a lot more live music on the ship than I remember on the two previous years. I think your husband will really enjoy all the musicians as there wasn't anything to heavy and they took requests. It was so fun to sing along with the entertainers.
