PI Interview for AK!

Hi everyone!

Today, I had my interview for a PI at AK for June 08. I'm usually very calm for interviews but I have to admit I got slightly goofy in the beginning.


Beware of the question: What would be a Disney character that most resembles you? YIKES!

Any tips from past or present PIs at AK? Like pay? Placement? The next step (other than waiting )

Hi! It was one of the Conservation Educators. The beginning was rough but I warmed up by the end! Thanks for the support!
What are you interviewing for?

Hello, welcome to boards!!!!!!!! I had an interview with DAK, about a couple of weeks ( 3 week approx.) ago, so I know how the interview went. I was a little overwhelmed with 8 people asking me questions at one time. It really made me more nervous than I was. I was also, interviewed for Conservation Educaton, what were your top choices, and what did you say, what character you are most like??? I said Jiminey Crickett ( They laughed, even said, first time they heard anyone say that character).

Good luck tomorrow, sure you will do great. I got an email for may 1st, they will tell you even if you don't make the PI. What did you apply for by the way, I had my interview weeks ago, along with the other PI(s) I applied for so the waiting is a killer for all of them!!!!!! Little bit of advice, think clearly and think the questions out, before you answer.

Thanks! Tomorrow is operation management PI. I applied mainly for management PI's. I'll let everyone know how it goes!

Wow, you got very lucky my interviewed consisted of more than 6 people. That was my 2nd interview, the managers said, If I got the position I would know by May 1st (email or phone) and casting would contact me. My top choices, Education and Guest experiences. I have a long wait ahead. The other internships I applied for which where Epcot Science and DU Learning center, would let me know by May 14 or 16.

Yes, this is my first internship with disney, just in case I don't get accepted to any PI(s) I have applied for the CP program as a backup plan and I just apply again for spring. I'm a health science major by the way.

Love the Sully character, that is a very rare choice to pick as well. Very wll put, how you related Sully to your personality. Jiminey is very true and plus he is a conscious.

Thank you, if the PI come through, they said I can do the PI with no problem!!! Hoepfully, it will come through real soon, I start my CP on may 19th and we should know about animal kingdom internship, by may 1st!!!! Haven't really heard about northbridge, I'm not too sure about what I want to do with housing. Most likely I will be staying with disney on property, very cheap rent from what I pay now for college.

That rooming situation sounds tricky. If you are a CP then you get to choose from Vista or Chatham - which I hear are close and transporation is available.
Then I hear if you are a PI you only have one choice and that's Northbridge. From the blogs I've read it's 30 minutes away and there is alot of crime. That makes me very nervous. Also, you must provide your own transportation.

What do you think?

This wait is killing me and it hasn't even been a week yet! Atleast if you stuck with the CP thing you will be at a nicer complex... I visited a friend once at Vista and everything looked great and he said he had an amazing time!

Yea, I having been looking on rentals.com, rent.com and apartments, to try find a decent apartment in orlando. I might have to take a short trip down their to look around for sure. So, when you get the Epcot PI you won't have to worry about Northbridge! That's positive!

I was all over rentals.com last night as well! Cheapest I found was 680 for a one bedroom. I would like to live with another PI though.

Did anyone apply to the Marine Mammals internship at the Seas, the Animal Behavior internship, or the Marine Biologist/ Aquarist internship! I am so nervous and I haven't heard anything!
