Photoshopped Disney Pics

Beautiful pictures - great job! I only wish my pictures turned out half as good :thumbsup2

I did it! I found a step by step list on google search :) This will be a nice touch to add into my photography once I get the hang of doing better at it! Thanks!

My Try At Orton Effect

That turned out great! It gets easier and quicker the more you do them. Try playing around with it and make the crisp clear layer black and white and the blurry layer colored and vibrant. Totally different look and feel.

Thanks so much :)

Beautiful !!
I love the first one of King Triton :thumbsup2

Thanks, that's one of my favorites too. We're going back in Sept and I know I'll be taking pictures with the thoughts/idea of creating more Orton Effect photo's. We're also going to be able to go to Club 33 and I hope that some of those will turn out good for this effect.

 I absolutely love your pictures! The pictures themselves are fabulous and then with that dream-like quality added, they are just gorgeous! Wow!

These are beautiful! Thanks for sharing them! :3dglasses I especially like the one of Paradise Pier; I think it looks very postcard-esque, as a PP said. :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone. I've been enjoying playing around with this. I even added about 7-8 more pictures last night to the flickr link.

What kind of a camera do you have?

These photos are awesome!

I got tired of my small pocket sized digital camera, yet didn't want to spend 800 on a big SLR, so I bought something half way in between.

A Canon S5 IS. Which is fully automatic, yet can be fully programmable with tons of extra features. It's not too bulky, but for someone wanting to do more with their camera and not spend a fortune it's perfect. Think I paid only $300 for mine and I've seen it a little lower even.

That's a good camera, I used the S2 IS for the shot I used in my test photo I shared

Thanks everyone. At least one out of every 100 pictures I take at Disneyland turns out good enough to do something with. I'm still learning. :)

:wave2: You sound a lot like me!:laughing:I'm still learning how to take decent photos, and just started kind of dabbling in PP. I have CS3 which is waaaayyyy too much program for me! I've had it for about a year and only started dabbling in it about a month ago. :eek:How long have you been using PS? How did you learn about this technique? Do you use any plug-ins?

ETA: I liked your photos, btw!

This was actually the first PS technique that I've learned. My partner is really good with PS and has started showing me a little bit here and there. It's just SUCH a difficult and not very user friendly program.

And thank you everyone, glad you all are enjoying the photos. :)

I have a cheat sheet for photoshop that I was given. It's not that it's complicated, but just a list of like 15 steps. If you've ever used photoshop at all, you would find the steps easy. I can try to upload tonight when I'm home from work.
Please upload the cheat sheet when you get the chance! I could sure use it!
Thanks!

zeitzeuge and ikristin, you inspired me to give it a try. Here are a couple I just did...

I'm doing the happy dance because I just learned something new! :dance3:

ETA: The castle one doesn't look that good. :( I had the gaussian blur all the way up too, but maybe it's too bright. You can't really see it. I can see it when I see it side by side with the original...oh well; I'll try again later...

I love the b/w with color too. Image is great. I need to give that a try on a few.

Your first trys turned out great, especially the one of Grrr! When it comes to the guasian blur, I found to blur it enough so that you still see the image shapes, but not too much that it's so blurry you can't tell what the image is. Then I adjust the color saturation, making it much more intense colors. I also found that some images just don't show off the effect as much as others. Haven't figured out why yet. But when you compare the image to the original you can tell the difference.

I like the B&W one too! I guess that's next on my list of things to try w/PS. I think I need to boost the color saturation on my 2nd picture?:confused3Maybe it's too bright that's why you can't really see enough of the blur unless it's side by side w/ the original?
Anyway, I was wondering if you would be able to post your cheat sheet list. If so, that would be great, and I would really appreciate it! It is overwhelming trying to figure out all that this program can do.
