Photoshop CS2 Question

I have a question that I should know the answer too but it keeps slipping away from me. In photoshop I want to merge two layers, a picture and a text layer, so that the image shows up in the text. I used to do this all the time but haven't for about a year now. I know someone here will have a link to the instructions or will be able to help me remember.

I *think* you hold down ctrl and then click the line between the two layers you want to merge in your layers menu on the side. I found how to on a tutorial site
