Click on here Photos of the Magic after Dry Dock to see some photos take by Fred Ferdlap during the October 11, 2003 cruise. Fred sent me these photos and asked if I could post them for him, I entered them in my Webshots account. There are photos of Diversions and the Cove Cafe. I hope you enjoy these photos, sorry, but I can't answer any questions about the new areas as I have not been on the ship since dry dock. Those who just returned, or that are on the Magic now, will have to answer any questions posted.

Thanks Andy for posting those and thanks Fred for sending them to Andy. I know everyone was really wanting to see pictures of the new areas. Everything looks great and I can't wait til our cruise in April.

Looks great! Thanks for the link, Andy, and the photos, Fred.

Thanks Fred to taking the photos and thanks to Andy too for hosting them. The new areas look really nice! Can't wait to try them out when we sail next Dec.

Thanks for posting them Andy! The new diversions looks fun! And the cove cafe is much different than I had imagined, boy what a nice TV!!!

Cove Cafe does not look like much of a change from the Common Grounds layout and amenities from what I can remember from being in there briefly to sign up DSD on the July 19 cruise. I recall the big screen TV already being there--am I remembering wrong?

Thanks Andy and Fred for sharing the pictures. Something to look forward to in April.

Just beautiful! Thank you, Fred and Andy!

Fred and Andy!

Very Nice!

Cant' wait until January!

The sign had arrows for Sessions, Up Beat, and Diversions. Did they change the name of Rockin' Bar D? (I'm thinking Diversions was formally called "Off Beat")

If my memory serves me correct, Rockin' Bar D was before Sessions, Up Beat, and the former Beat Street, now known as Diversions.

Beat Street is the name of the entire entertainment area at the front of the ship. The new Diversions bar, Rockin Bar D, and Sessions now comprise Beat Street.

That one threw me for a loop at first as well. Up Beat is the shop between Rockin Bar D and now Diversions that sells liquor, perfume, etc.

Although Diversions looks OK (frankley I really don't see much of a difference between it and Preludes, which is already severley underutilized). I am really going to miss the ESPN Club. So, I guess we will just have to suck it up and go on the Wonder before dry dock next year.

I agree that Diversions does look nice. However, I'm sad to see a whole venue on the ship go bye-bye. I don't see how they could use this new space to provide any live entertainment, which is sad. Unless... They could offer something along the lines of the Adventurer's Club at Pleasure Island. Something interactive and such...

Anyone have a Navigator from last week?!

What great pictures!!!!!! Thank you so much Andy and Fred! WOW!!! Common Grounds (Cove Cafe) sure has changed! It looks so different! Now if only I could see the new teen area!

Diversions was packed with Football games and Baseball so no problem finding the place packed full. In fact for the castaway club party they had to boot the baseball fans to preludes and use both bars for the returning guests. 900+

The final night (friday) there was finally no sport venue so they were able to show off the british pub night (piano player). I did not go. Too tired and packing!.

Sounds intriguing.....I think we'll check it out!!!

Thanks so much for posting the pictures Andy!
Cove Cafe looks great. The best part though is.... real coffee!
NO MORE NESCAFE!!

They can't make a Nescafe mocha latte, can they? Tell me it's not so... :faint:
