We booked our GV for Marathon Weekend 2025 at 11 months, and because we would have our 20 month old DGD with us I submitted a request for a single-story GV 3 times (for those unfamiliar, there are 7 GV at BWV, two of which are 2-story). We were assigned 3047, which is the HA GV. It has its quirks, but it's beautiful, and we were very comfortable!

This won’t really be a trip report, I just want to post photos to help y’all needing a HA GV in future.

The living area is huge, with two seating areas and open to the dining area. As you enter, the main bedroom, bath, and laundry are to the right, and the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms are to the left, past the kitchen and dining area.

Main bath. This was the quirkiest area. The light switches for the tub and vanity area are in the main bedroom, which we couldn’t figure out and needed Maintenance to help us. And there are no drawers at all, nor shelves, except a single shelf in the closet. The most difficult aspect to deal with is that the bathroom door opens to the living room, and there is no way to go from main bedroom to main bathroom privately. So there’s no going from bedroom to bathroom for a shower unless you’re covered. And given the lack of shelves, drawers, and even hooks on the walls, it means making sure you bring sufficient clothes into the bathroom with you (and stash them on the counter or bathtub rim) to ensure you’re modestly dressed when you leave afterwards! If we had known this, we’d have brought bathrobes.

So kind of you to post these! When my DH was alive and we needed HA rooms, there rarely seemed to be many photos. Hope you had a really great vacation!

Thanks, it was marvelous! DD ran the marathon, and DGD loved riding the carousel and dancing at a party in Epcot!

That sounds about as good as it gets. We did big family trips (20+ people) for years but now that the kids are older and at so many different levels of school and on so many different sports teams, it is impossible to get a time that works for everyone. Glad that you are making forever memories now!

Why did you have to submit the request 3 times? Just curious. Thanks.
I didn’t “have to” - I just wanted to emphasize how important it was for us. The last time we had a GV, in 2014, I had requested a single story because we had a 5 year old with us then, and we were assigned a 2-story. So this time, with a 20 month old, I was possibly over zealous.
