We went to WDW a few years ago and there was a discount for buying your photopass cd ahead of time. I looked at the photopass website the other day and did not see this offer anywhere. Is it no longer available? Anybody know?:confused3

Not for Disneyland. Photopass isn't as prevalent in the parks as WDW so some people find it cost effective to purchase a CD, while others only order a few pictures. You can buy it in the park and they'll usually include some prints, but you can't add the Disney borders or change the sizes on the photos. Most people order from the website after playing with all the borders and sizes. Shipping is only a few dollars and there are $10 off discounts every once in awhile.

Also, the CD at DLR dropped in price about 1.5 years ago, to something like 59.95. Last time I ordered, the shipping was $7, but I think it either went to nothing or only a couple bucks.

As for preordering from WDW, they took down the webpage with the link to it. Now it's emailed to people staying onsite, who, it seems, booked through disney, and the email is sent only shortly before your stay. That info isn't helpful for a DLR trip, but it's just given to reply to the experience you had with not finding the webpage up. :)

I just checked the website and the price is still $59.95 for the cd that you order from their website after your trip. We always order one and it's great to be able to put on all the different borders, etc. A few pics can turn into so many! :)

The cost of shipping for the CD used to be $7.00. It is is now only $2.00 (:cool1:) in the U.S. (and probably $12 or so for international orders), and to be honest, the last two CDs I ordered at the new $2 shipping price (for my October and December DLR trips) actually arrived sooner than they would have if they had been sent via UPS Ground at the $7 shipping rate! I was shocked at how quickly I got the last 2 CDs compared to the first 2 CDs I ordered paying the $7 shipping in 2008!!

Also, if you happen to be on Facebook, become a Fan of PhotoPass and add it to your page, and they send out little status updates/alerts periodically to tell you if they have any discounts happening. The last CD I ordered, I used a $15 off promo code that I learned about because PhotoPass sent out the update on Facebook (they also had it on their site, but a lot of times people won't check the actual site for discounts unless they are already on there doing their editing). Between the $15 off and the $2 shipping, that was the cheapest PhotoPass CD I had ever gotten!!

I am off to befriend Photopass. I didn't know about the special offers. Thanks Sherry!

LOL - I just became of fan of Photopass on Facebook - thanks for suggesting it!!!! I am considering doing the photpass thing this year. Have never done it before - guess we will wait and see....

You're welcome, Dizneydaz and Petrymom!:goodvibes Oh, and make sure you became fans of the correct PhotoPass page on Facebook and not some other unofficial one. I think the official one I am on is called "Disney's Photopass Service" - is that what you guys became a fan of?

In any case, yes, it worked for me to become a fan of PP on FB because, for example, I had already edited all my December photos and was waiting to order the actual CD until a certain date when I was getting another paycheck. So I was pretty much done with the PhotoPass website until the date when I planned to order the CD. There was NO $15 discount the last time I had been on the PP site, and it was going to be a good 2 weeks before I went back onto the website. Lo and behold, in the meantime, PhotoPass sent out the little status update/news feed thingy on Facebook, announcing the $15 discount. If I had waited until the date I originally planned to buy the CD, the discount would have expired. So because I got the word from Facebook, I took advantage of that $15 off while it was still valid (and there was a mention of it on the website too, but I would not have seen that if I had waited 2 more weeks).

We'll be going several times in May (DD10 is off track-last time-next year back to traditional!:scared1:) so I'm planning on doing PP again. We took some PP in Dec/Jan. but not enough to order CD. Didn't really see too many PP around. :confused3 Plus my fav. PP was playing Santa so he wasn't available to take pix.

I already have a friend who is going to share the cost with me but any savings would be really appreciated!

Wow. photopass has become very affordable. Thanks for the info!
