Photopass ?

I know that you can buy the cd ahead of time but I have a few questions. Is the $99. the final price or do you get charged for the pictures that you choose to keep and is there a limit to how many photos that you can have taken ?

I haven't done it myself, but from the info I've gathered, there's no limit on the number of pictures you can have taken and put on your cd, and the only other cost you should incur would be when you take the cd to have pictures printed at your location of choice (Wal-Mart, Target, Sam's, Walgreen's, etc). Hope that helps! And if any of my info is wrong, I'm sure someone will soon correct me.

I think I'm going to preorder the CD next year..do they send it to you after your Trip or before your trip?

They will send you the confirmation number prior to your leaving (actually, right after you have paid). When you return, you open up your pictures, play away, and when you are done (30 day max, but extensions can be gotten), you enter your code and receive your disc via mail. My wife and I are putting the finishing touches on ours now. It is fun but can be tedious!

You can edit (add borders, etc) and add the edited ones....you CANNOT add your own photos. Does that make sense?

as for the limit to the number of pics... last time I did it, got 4 cd for about 2500 pics... in 10 days. so not bad

Yes Lynn, you get the cd when you get back. You enter your photopass cards and after you have done any/all your editing to them. Then you will enter it to your shopping cart, enter the code that you were sent when you pre-ordered it and then they mail the cd to you.

I have always kind of ignored the photopass people but I'm thinking the cd+book would be a great thing for us to do for our honeymoon.

Question: How far in advance can you place the order?My trip isn't until July but can I order it now?

I found this on the official photpass site and I just wanted to say that I think this is GREAT! I was worried about spending all that money and then maybe not getting good pics but I guess we don't have to worry about that with this refund policy.

If for any reason you are not satisfied with the photos and decide that you no longer want to order your Disney's PhotoCD or PhotoCD + Photo Book, just let us know and you will receive a full refund.

It is the final price.

EVERY picture, on every photopass who's number you enter into your account, will show up on the CD, along with a copyright release. In additon, BEFORE you order your pics, you can go through an add borders, embelishments, etc to your pics...every time you do, it will add a "new" picture to your account.

For example, you have a pic of you and your family standing in front of the castle. You can take that pic and apply 3 different borders to it...you'll actually add 3 more pics to your account: The original, and one with each of the borders.

When we did this last January, we ended up with about 4 or 5 CD's worth of pictures. As far as I know, there is no limit to the number of pics, or the number of CD's. You won't have to "select" the pictures you want, because they send you EVERYTHING on the photpasses you link to your account.

For us, it's well worth it. My wife is the resident shutterbug, and she takes LOTS of great shots...but the one thing she can't take is full family photos...to hard to lug along a tripod and release cable. And we get TONS of them, and then my wife spends HOURS doing the borders/embelishments before we order the CD.
