Hey y'all we are going to Disney next month and I have a question about photopass. I created a photopass account already.

Do I need to print out a photopass card or do I get one in the parks?

do I print the pictures out on my computer or do I place an order and then they are sent to me?

any information about photopass would be great thanks!

Any photographer can give you a card and then you hand that same card to each person as you are getting photos taken. (Say with a character or at a meal). If you purchase the CD, you enter the #'s from the card or cards that you got while at the parks. A photo CD with a copyright release is then sent to you. You can also have them print photos for you, which can be pretty nice. They have built-in options for borders and stuff to dress up the picture.

can I pick and choose which pictures I want them to print for me or do I have to get them all printed?

You can choose which ones you want to buy. We usually go online after our trip and pick which ones we like. Thank God you do not have to buy all of them, some of our have been pretty dreadful!

ohh perfect!...thank y'all for the helpful information!:thumbsup2

So what's the deal if you prepay for the cd in advance? I read that somewhere and you get a free photo shoot at the GF?? By prepaying, you get to keep all the photos on the CD??

If someone could explain this to me, I'd appreciate it. I know nothing beyond the basis when it comes to photopass.

Yes if you pre-pay your CD (approx $99), then you can have ALL your photos from the parks, resorts, etc. put onto the CD. Then take your CD to Walmart or use your own printer (if it's good quality) to print your own pictures. The "free" GF photo shoot is now $25. Call photopass to reserve your spot.

Here's the basics.

1. Order your CD prior to your trip
2. Once in the parks, get a card from any Photopass photographer and get your picture taken (you can have multiple cards, too and just combine them later but by giving the same card to each photographer, it will be easier to keep track of it).
3. After your trip is over, enter the # from the cards onto the photopass website. Make your edits (crop, b&w, add Tinkerbell, etc) and save.
4. Submit when final.
5. Disney will mail you back a CD with all your photos on it.
6. Take to any photo place and get as many pics as you want, in whatever sizes.

Somewhere on the DIS is a link to the website (check the budget board?) where someone explains everything you wanted to know about this.

This is MUCH cheaper than ordering individual prints from Disney (unless you really only want a couple...)

Super duper post. Thanks so much for all the great information.

I still love this post about Photopass. I am just about to make our account for our trip in Sept.

How far ahead can you make your account?

Can I pay for my account now for our trip in Sept? or is there a 60 or 30 day window?
