Hi!
We've never been to wdw before. Is it worth it to prebuy the photopass? If we stay a week, are we likely to get a lot of pictures on it?
Thanks!
Rachel

It depends on the value to you. We were at WDW with all 6 of our children for Christmas. We didn't stay onsite, and the going rate was $149 for the cd. We didn't get many pictures taken, and instead opted for ordering our best pictures from it with a discount of 20%. We spent $87 I think. DH and I went for a 5 day trip, only 2 park days, found alot of photopass opps, had pre ordered it for $99, knowing that we could get a refund if we didn't want to buy it, and only wanted to order some pictures. I say go ahead and preorder if you on site, which it sounds like.

We have bought the cd on other family trips before, and let me just say, some of those pictures are priceless with the kids and characters:wizard:

Yes, we're staying on site (WL). Christmas decorations will be up when we go, but not late Dec. Our kids will be 10, 8, and 1.
Thanks!

I love photopass and think it is worth every penny to have all of us in the pictures. Yes, I know that the photographers can use my camera but I really like the photopass pics that I get. I also like the embellishments.

The $99 prepay is back for now and there is a discount code on the budget board making the prepay cost only $79.99. The prepay code does not expire so would be worth ordering now if you can. The great thing about preordering is that if you get there and take pics but don't feel you got enough to justify the cost, you can get a refund as long as you haven't ordered the CD yet. So my suggestion is to prepay for the CD, get as many pics as you want done while at Disney, come home and check them out. If you want them, order the CD. If not, ask for a refund.

We've been 2x w/ the kids...the 1st time we bought a couple of pictures I really liked and that came to $70+. The 2nd visit, I pre-ordered the CD for $99 and made sure to get as many pictures we could. Every time I saw a photographer I made the kids do it together, then just my hubby and I and then all of us together. Once you get home, you can add as many borders and embellishments as you want. We ended up with over 300 pictures on the CD. All mine !!!! I've read where some people end up w/ over 1000 pics. Make sure you and your hubby both get cards in case you separate and take advantage as much as you can! Have fun ;)

Can anyone provide a link to the discount making it 79.99? TIA

I just called Photopass and asked about the PHOTOCD code. I was informed that it was "made up" and wasn't supposed to be posted in the first place. I asked what would happen to the people that ordered it and got that promotion price, she said that it won't work for them. I am not sure what she means by that, but it might not work when you go to redeem it? She said that there is no valid promotion code out there right now.

If anyone else wants to call and verify it the number is: 407-560-4300

You can also get the photo from the Test Track ride added to your photo pass for free rather than paying the $20 or whatever it is for that photo. I think that is the only ride you can add. You can add borders and character signatures to the pictures so that is really neat. I liked it when we ordered it.
