On the Photopass website in the Q&A it states...

Q. I'm traveling with a group. Can we get the same photo added to more than one card so we can each set up our own account?
A. Sure! Just tell your photographer and they'll be happy to scan your photos onto multiple cards. Note a Disney's PhotoPass I.D. number may only be claimed into one account.

I really want to do the PhotoPass Share, and I want to start up a thread for December. I have never gotten PhotoPass let alone been to DW, so I just want to be sure that a share will indeed work. Seems like many do it. I can understand why they would put this, but if there is a way to share it, then alright!! :)

I'm not really sure what your question is?????

If you are wanting to know how to do a PP share then you should look over on the budget board. There is a lot of info on this as well as people that are interested in sharing.

I participated in a share in July the cost per person was about $18. I think we had 7 people. The beauty of it is that you can go crazy with the pics as well as the edits because you get them all.

I think the question that's being asked is this - can everyone in the group get a copy of a single picture? For example, I'm traveling with my aunt and we took a Photopass picture together. If my aunt and I each had a Photopass card, we'd both give them to the photographer to scan. That way when we went home and created our own Photopass account (2 separate accounts), we'd have a copy of the picture. Make sense?

Two accounts would cost way more than if one person did one account and just emailed or printed 2 photos from that one account. Right? The purpose of a Photopass share was to elimiante multiple accounts and take advantage of the fact that you can put an infinite number of photos on one account and pay the same price no matter how many or less photos you put on it.

I understand that. But the OP was asking for an explanation of a question from the Photopass FAQ. At least that is how it appeared to me.

Hello...thanks so much for your replies. When I posted the ? I was whirling with all this infor on PhotoPass. What the questions should ask is in regards to the PhotoPass Sharing. Since the website states that only one code is alright to use...it just contradicts a PhotoPass Share.

So sorry for the confusion!!!

I knew you knew that. LOL I was just commenting that that was Disney's way of rooking people into paying for more photos when they didn't have to... :rotfl:

Honeystar, I participated in a Photopass for September. Have yet to reap the rewards but that's only because photos are still being uploaded and edited by people who went after I did. My first time using Photopass and therefore, first time involved in a share. Painless.... absolutely painless and the photos, from what I've seen when I uploaded... were great. If you participate in one or start one... I don't think you'll be sorry. To me, after going to the parks so often, this added another dimension to my visit. I'm extremely glad I did it.

OK, I'll stop with my unsolicited advice. LOL

LOL Thanks! :) Yes, I have educated myself, and have asked a lot of question to a great DISer. It sounds wonderful! I understand now how the Share is done. I am really trying not to have people spread out in the PhotoPass Share. Hard to say no to someone though.

Yeah! Thank goodness for the DISboards! As much as I love Photopass, I'm in for a share whenever I can save some cash. :goodvibes

One thing I have to say about doing the share is to be careful about how many people you have. The Photopass site gets really slow the more photos and edited photos you have. The site wants to load a thumbnail of each picture in the account at the bottom of the screen each time you refresh the page. I'd say a good size for a group is 4-5 but I've seen them go a lot bigger on the budget board.

Good luck with your Photopass share :)

Thanks a bunch for the tip! I was aiming for 4. :) I don't mind $30 or so, but $100 is craziness!
