The pictures from my photopass card have expired by now but I still have the card. When we go to DL in Sept do I have to get a new card or can I still use this one? If I can just use this one how does that work? Since the card # is already on my account will the pics just show up automatically in my account or do I have to re enter the photopass # again as if it were a new card?
Thanks for your help!

ETA: one more question - how man photopass card #'s can you enter on one account?

If your card was previously used at DLR, go ahead and re-use it if you wish. Yes the numbers are "hiding"* in your account...again, assuming that it was a DLR card, if you log into your photopass account, you should see DLR pricing (well, assuming that is the ONLY card on your account).

In theory, you could use a WDW photopass card for DLR pictures, but just in case they've done something with their programming I wouldn't risk it, lest you be charged WDW prices for the DLR photopass. It hasn't happened yet, in fact there are poeple who report having WDW cards and DLR cards on their account (if they traveled to both resorts inside a month) and they are charged the cheaper DLR price...but you never know when Disney IT people are going to change their system.

As far as I know, you can have unlimited cards on your account.

*I first found photopass through a CD share (not allowed to be organized on the Dis anymore, fyi), and 3 months later wanted to buy my own CD for a subsequent trip. I was silly and reused the card, and of course the Share leader suddenly had pictures appear on her account. :upsidedow (it all worked out by the way, Disney was happy to help me)

Thank you! Yes we used it last year at DLR so sounds like it should work no problem! Theres 8 of us traveling together this year so I'm glad to hear the # of cards we'll be putting on the account should be ok!
Thanks again! :goodvibes

This is interesting. I didn't know we could reuse old PP cards. It never even occurred to me. I would have just assumed that the PhotoPass system would recognize that card's number as being connected to a batch of pictures that are no longer showing in the account.

While it is nice to know you CAN use an old card if you want to, just because it is so easy to get a new card from any PP photographer, I, personally, will get a new card each time I go - just to err on the side of caution. I feel safer that way, I think, because I am too afraid there will be some sort of glitch in their system that will cancel out the old card number and any new photos along with it. Paranoid, I know, but that's what I am doing. I don't trust them!

Oh, and, Kirstie101, when you were last at DLR, did you get the PhotoPass card that has a $10 discount on it? Apparently, according to Dizneydaz, there are new PhotoPass cards in circulation at DLR now that show a $10 discount on any purchase from the PP site - including the CD. So when you make your next trip, check the cards that everyone else is getting and make sure they have the $10 discount reference/sticker on them so you can apply that to the next order when you enter all the card numbers into the account!

oooh didn't know about the $10 discount - I'll keep my eyes open cause they definitely didn't have that when we went.

Does anyone know if the photographers at Goofy's Kitchen can give you a new photopass card? I plan on buying the pic package if our pic comes out nice and if I do, I'd like the pic added to our photopass card. Thats why I was planning on using our old card. We're going to Goofy's Kitchen on the night we arrive. So we won't have been in the parks yet to get a new card.

Good choice - Goofy's Kitchen! Chances are, the photographers there probably have a stash of PP cards, though the cards are not easily noticeable because they mainly want to sell you their photo package rather than promote PhotoPass. But since - last I heard - they can put the picture on the PP card once you purchase it from them, it seems like they should have those cards available. Just to be on the safe side, what you could do is stop in at the front desk of the DLH before you head into Goofy's and grab a PP card. If they don't have the cards sitting out on the front desk in plain sight, ask one of the Cast Members behind the desk for one. Last year when we checked in at PPH, there was a stack of PP cards sitting on the desk and I think all the hotels were starting to do that, just to make it easier on guests, I suppose, and to promote PP before they ever set foot in the parks.

I think that, even if yo udon't have the card, they can give you the number.

As far as I know, the number for the pictures like that are their own card ID number. So if you had two actual cards, then you got the pictures from Goofy's, you would enter that number they give you as though it is its own photopass card. I think that's how it works at least. :)
