Photopass problems

Well I got a photopass card this year and the fellow we got it from took a bunch of photos of the girls in front of the castle as we arrived at MK. He posed them in all kinds of cute poses and then gave us our card. We had other photos taken throughout the day as well.

So I come home and put my code in and all that. The first group of photos is not on the card. So I sent an email for them to search for the photos. They had no luck finding them!! :sad1: I even sent a photo (as they request one) of the guy taking their picture in the pose where it looks like Tinkerbelle is in your hands!

My girls arrive home tomorrow with dh and my parents. They are excited to see what the surprise is going to be in that picture, but alas that picture does not exist according to WDW. For whatever reason all of those photos he took (of our whole group and the girls together) did not register. I was really disappointed!!

Anyways ... just be aware it doesn't always work!!! I dont' know how you check to be sure it did work ... anyone know? I'd hate for anyone to depend on these photos alone!

I am so sorry your photopass photos didn't work out for you. I didn't even once take a photo of the photopass photographer, so at least you had that to go by.

I have nothing to suggest other than those that are going to go to Disney. You can check your photos out at Grand Floridian, Beach Club resorts or the photopass places, eg. Downtown Disney. They can scan your card and you can look at all your photos without it counting towards your expiry date.

Our children had gone on the Pirate Cruise at the Grand Floridian and we went to the photopass desk there (second floor main building) and the very nice fellow there scanned our card to put on the pirate photos from the cruise they had taken. He then allowed us to view all our photos to date to make certain we had all the poses we thought we had taken.
He also put on all the photos we had purchased from the special breakfasts and Cinderella Royal Table (we had the codes from the photos). He said anyone could do this and we didn't have to be guests. This was in January in a non-busy time, so this may vary, but he said we could go to Downtown Disney to check on them any time.

I do feel for you and your family, as you have paid quite a bit of money and thought you would have wonderful photos to come back to. I do hope that the photopass people do not give up and they can be found. I wonder if they went on another family's pass if he didn't do something correctly.

My best wishes for you and your family.

So sorry to hear that. I too never would have thought to take a picture of the photopass photographer. I guess I will have to add that to my list of things now.

I thought I would add my story. My family had the poses taken with baby Simba outside the Tree of Life but they forgot to add the Simba.

So like you said there are no guarantees that the picture the photopass person is taking is the one you're going to get.

Acutally it reminds me a bit of the magic express. You have to have hope, faith and pixie dust that your luggage will find you again. So it is the same with the photopass photographer.

It never even crossed my mind that photopass would have problems like these! One more thing to keep me up at night I guess!

I think you can check your photopass pictures in the parks--you can view them at the end of the day to make sure they are ok and or buy them on site. It's been a couple of years since we've been but we used to go into the camera centre in each park and check. Anyone know if you can still do this?

Diamondintheruff - if its not too long since you had the photopass pics done, contact them and they'll add simba. Our shots with ds and stitch from HS were missing stitch and they added them as soon as I notified them. Just a thought if your cd hasnt been ordered yet.
