Photopass Plus DCA

Good Evening Fellow Diser's!
We will be starting our vacation in DCA. Is there a location to activate our Photopass Plus there or do I have to run over to DL first?

I haven't done it personally, but I believe you can exchange the voucher for PhotoPass Plus in DCA at the Kingswell Camera Shop on BVS.

Upon entering DCA, Look to you right at the beginning of BVS. You will see a brown, double door between the lockers and Market Place hidden at the corner. Another way to get to it are through the retail stores on the right side of BVS. These stores are connected, walk towards the front gate and you will find it at the very end.

I thought the PP+ was one of our best purchases on our last trip.

There were TONS of photographers in DCA, look right near the fountain on Buena Vista Street, and at the Storytellers statue, at the entrance to CarsLand by the sign, and walking with the some of the characters walking around Buena Vista Street.

We ran in to some photographers at night in CarsLand too with all the neon, just be warned, if you are carrying an alcoholic beverage, they will ask you to hold it behind you or put it at your feet.

On our trip two weeks ago we arrived on a Thursday evening and were not planning on going into the Parks until Friday morning. After purchasing the Photopass Plus on line I wanted to have it activated prior to going into the Parks on Friday. About an hour before DCA closed I went to one of the cast members at the turnstiles at DCA and explained that I would like to go to Kingswell Camera Shop to pick up my PhotoPass Plus card ( I showed him my voucher) and explained I didn't have a ticket to the Parks until the next day. He let me go in and pick up my Pass. I took my voucher to the cashier in the Camera Shop they rang it up (The cast members were not familiar with the pre-ordered PhotoPass Plus voucher, so it took awhile for them to figure out how to ring it up - it comes up as no charge since it was pre-paid on line). I took my receipt to the photo processing side of the store and received by PhotoPass Plus card on a lanyard and was on my way. Exiting the Park, I showed the card to the cast member who let me in the Parks and thanked him.

Friday morning I was at DCA bright an early for early admittance, rode RSR and then began using my PhotoPass Plus card! A great deal! No wasted time picking it up that morning.

We arrived mid-afternoon, and went over to DCA, activated our PP+ voucher, then had the dinner at Wine Country Trattoria that gave us a reserved spot to see the World of Color show, and enjoyed WOC and went home. Nice easy first day!
