Photopass List of "Magic" inserts

Heading to Disneyland Dec 1st ! ! ! !

Is there a list that shows what characters can be inserted into Photopass pictures ?

I know you can get Tinker Bell infront of the castle.

But was wondering if there are other "Magic" inserts that the photographers can enhance your Photopass pictures with.

I'm not sure of a full list existing. There is one in this link but you'll notice the green text is for DLR and is quite limited and not complete for DLR either. But it will give you come ideas. Though with a bunch of replies you could get a decent list here.

I would suggest when you meet a PP photog let them take shots of a few poses and also ask if they have special poses available to possibly take them too. Overall this will get you more shots and a better chance for great shots.


As far as what to add to your list.

You can be holding ballons, right in front of the Mickey flowers after you enter through the turnstyles.

Last year you could get Stich coming out of present in front of the Chrismas tree. I have also seen a hang glider in front of the bridge but with the construction not sure if that is going anymore.

Though it could be done elsewhere. I wonder why they didn't do it in Condor Flats.

We got:
Balloons in front of the runaway mine train
Mickey sitting next to us inside the turnstiles/infront of the flowers
Minnie sitting next to us inside the turnstiles/infront of the flowers
Tink in our hands in front of the castle
Stitch coming out of the ground in DCA.
Hang glider over us in DCA.

Thats all we could find, we asked every photopass guy we bumped into!!

Minnie sitting next to us inside the turnstiles/infront of the flowers
Tink in our hands in front of the castle
Stitch coming out of the ground in DCA.

I feel stupid asking this, but where is the runaway mine train? Is it near BTMRR?

We've held Tink multiple places, held balloons on the PP bridge in DCA, sat with Mickey or Minnie on PP (we snagged a character PP while the character was on break), and had the hanglider shot done in front of the golden gate bridge (when it was there).

I've seen Disneydaz's shots fighting Darth Vader (somewhere in Tomorrowland, I would assume), with hitchiking ghosts (near the HM), and fighting Hook near the ROA, but have yet to accomplish any of these.

Fairy wings at AK
Holding Simba at AK
Holding Prince Naveen/Frog at MK between Liberty Square and the Castle
Fighting Captain Hook in front of Pirates
Fighting Darth Vader in front of Star Tours

I'm sure there are more, but those are the others that come to mind.

Sorry - when I say Runaway Mine Train, I mean Big Thunder, have trouble keeping it in my brain!! Think its called slightly different names in Florida/Paris and this was our first trip to Cali!!
It was on the bridge behind it and the really lovely CM waited for ages so she could actually get the train in the shot behind us!!
We were told about the Darth/Captain Hook ones, but couldn't find anyone to do them - boo!!
We were also told that all photopass photographers can do all of them "in theory) but they are only supposed to do certain ones in certain locations. And they are only trained to do certain ones - but I think this is just to make them more elusive!!
Cant wait to go get some in Orlando now!!
Make sure you buy the disc with the upgrades when you go to get them, its the same price as the disc with pics on, but you can add borders/change sizes/signatures etc

They're both hard to catch. For both of them, there weren't photographers already there. We found others nearby and asked if that was one they did.

I've been told that the ones with tripods are fixed to a location and can't do Magic Photos, but that most of the ones with handheld cameras can. What they can do depends on their location and what they know how to do.

Thanks for the tip as to "tripods" camera's and "handheld" camera's.

Adding that to my list of tips.
