Photopass Frustrations!

Good afternoon.

Looking to see if any of you have had the same kinds of problems we are presently experiencing.

Specifically, I'm trying to navigate each of our photopass photos (they did a great job) online, via laptop and desktop, and the page keeps stalling between photos. For example, I'll add a border to a photo and then try to save or download, and it just freezes. Very frustrating process, as I'm only on photo #5!!! I end up having to close the page and reload it, and I can then see the photo I was working on, saved, but this isn't a solution.

Any advice or feedback is appreciated. I already called the Photopass helpdesk but they really weren't of much help in terms of support.

Thank you.

Yes, it takes forever and is very glitchy. It's really frustrating and honestly makes me angry, because we always end up ordering the CD and spending more money because of how difficult it is to download it etc. Pretty good idea on Disney's part though I suppose.

Sad to say, that's just how the site is. It's horrible. Has been for years, I am going to say will be for years to come.
Mine is currently a nightmare since as an AP holder it stores a years worth of photos and we went to Disney a lot this year. With 4 of us with AP we end up with a lot of repeat ride photos. I'm one who really dislikes those in general so I try to delete them all. It takes so long I want to throw things.

I'm trying to go through my Thanksgiving trip pics and having issues as well. I made a bunch of edits, and then when I downloaded everything the pic are all messed up. For some I tried to zoom in on, they are zoomed in, but, for example, it zoomed to the top corner of the pic and not hte center where the people are.

So, am I better off just ordering the CD and having much easier access to the photos? Stinks, but it might be the only option. Thanks for the feedback above. Also, they give 2 tiers of pricing for the CD- is the cheaper one fine for our purposes? Also, do they come loaded with the stock photos? I'm trying to build an album and need the stock photos as well.

I'm trying to do the last trip also.
2 other long trips before that are also stored since I am an AP holder also.
It is a nightmare.....can't tell which ones are which. I downloaded the same ones over and over
I also was ready to throw things.
The site is terrible!

Question.......when you order the CD do you get one trip of pictures on it or all of them from multiple trips if you have an AP?

It's everything on the account. If I can ever get through the photos from last week I'm going to order a CD and call them and ask to delete ALL photos on my account, so start next year from fresh.

The one issue with doing this is you won't get the borders, etc on them, just those you've edited before you order the CD. Once you get the CD you won't be able to edit the photos on the CD through the website. Wasn't sure if that is what you mean or not

Thank you for your response. I will probably try and add a few borders and then order the CD. my other question is that Disney makes a library of stock photos available, ex Christmas parade that you can also download. Would those stock photos appear on my CD as well or can it be requested through cust. service that they be added?

I'm hoping someone knows for sure and can answer you with certainty. I've had an AP for a while so I haven't done the MM thing.
But, last time I did order the MM CD it came with both my photos and the stock photos.
The problem is it's been a while so I hate to answer how they do it now

I had the same experience doing our photos for our October trip. Adding borders froze up the system. I was only able to download the photos without adding any borders. They need to fix the site, badly.

OK thanks to all- glad that it's not just me. Appears that we are all suffering together! lol

LOL -
I was considering starting a thread about how glitchy photopass / memory maker was! SOOO ANNOYING.
My issue wasn't really editing, although that was glitchy, sure.
What got me ticked was the zipped files for download. There was no really good explanation of how it all worked. I mean, MDE, linking tickets, reservations, adr's that was all borderline self explanatory. I expected the photos to be just as easy. I had to set up my zips several diff ways, and then when I finally got it figured out? My photos were renamed to pure randomness. I have JTA photos named "HauntedMansionExit.jpg," TestTrack photos named, "Splashmountain.jpg," and many more examples of this. Also, how random is the freekin option list for borders and stickers? They obviously have things indexed incorrectly.

FWIW, a "Rogue One" border and a Moana sticker has shown up recently.
In the end, I think I have everything downloaded to my hard drive. I'm going to make a photobook of our trip for an xmas present to the fam. Little did I know I was going to be on a three day adventure of trying to figure this out. I thought I would have all my photos downloaded in a few hours after everyone was in bed and I would have a little peace. Disney really needs to unscrew this. MDE is pretty straightforward, THIS is lacking in user experience points, imo.

Yes, last October I just purchased the CD after I became way too frustrated! Plan to do the same after our next trip next month.

This may be the best news of all
I use an Android phone but also an iPad.

It is very glitchy and freezes on me all the time as well. So what I've done after every trip is this 1) I download every photo/video first. This year it was something like 40-ish zip files. Kinda a pain to download 40+ zip files but at least I got all the photopass pics / ride videos. 2) Delete out all videos / non-edit pics. 3) Add in borders / stickers / etc. This takes the most time as it feels like I'll get 4 or 5 done, then it freezes. Then close out the browser and back to where I left off. 5) Re-download with all the borders / stickers / etc.

I always get the pics first, b/c worse case scenario - I can use Photoshop or something and add my own borders later if I have to. I've actually missed downloading some pics b/c of editing before and had to pay for the extension. Not letting that happen again.

One place I think they could make a huge improvement is to offer a way to batch delete. That alone would make things light years better

Love that idea. Like a click box next to the picture where you can select a ton and then the delete button at the bottom. This would be extremely beneficial as the delete function is so sloooooow. And it doesn't help that my kids put their bands on everyone's picture when we get off Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, BLRSR, etc. I could have a collection of random people's ride pictures if I didn't delete them.

That is a good deal then....after our Jan. trip there will be 7 weeks of photos
