PhotoPass+ Family Sharing

Hi everyone!

We have 11 members of our family that are going to be in WDW at roughly the same time.

Four of us arrive on August 15 (us!), three on August 18 and four more on August 20. The last of us to leave will be leaving on August 28.

I will be purchasing the PhotoPass+ package since we are the first to arrive.

All three families are staying at different resorts. We are doing some meals together and will be with each other for full days on some of those days. Other days, we will be meeting up later on or won't see each other at all.

Will this work for us? I do understand that we can add all of the PhotoPass cards and combine them onto the one account. My concerns are when we're at character dining or on rides that we can use the PhotoPass+card for.

For example, we have a breakfast at Ohana one morning, they have it the next day. We'll be in MK riding Splash Mountain that day and they'll be someplace else where they would be able to use the card as well. How would we handle that?

From what I understand you can go back to the rides later in the day to get the pictures added. If you are willing to work our a schedule to hand off the card so that someone can get all the ride pictures added and don't have meals scheduled at the same time it can be done. Having said that, I think it would be a lot of work it you are doing different parks.

We just did this. You can actually write the ride photo number down when you view it and add them to your pass later.

Yes you have to go to that park and ride to add it. You also need the fp card to get your package at the meals so meals would be the top priority for holding the card. Make sure you take a picture of the back of the card...we lost ours when it was being passed back and forth and we easily got a a new one. It was no biggie We did this with our family and it worked out just fine.

I was able to add them at the photo center, but they had to call the ride photo location and have them do it. I've also heard this can be done by calling the Photopass help number but haven't tried that.

That's awesome! Does it work from another park? If you had a picture of the back of the pp+ card can they put it on at the ride, or could a pp photographer scan it?

No, the ride photo people will not manually add it to the card. I know this because my Photopass Plus card stopped scanning properly the first day and the ride photo places told me they weren't allowed to manually enter it even though I had the card with me.

A tip: if you get a photo package at A Pirate's League or some place like that, you can go to any resort with a photo centre and they can add it to the PP+ card for you. Just hang on to the slip they give you and give it to the PP guy at the desk in the resort.

We got out Pirate's League pics added at the Grand Floridian. We were there for dinner and it was more convenient. We did go to MK after dinner and could have done it at the PP counter at the front, but since GF was easier, we did it there.

You can add the PL photos to your account yourself. You simply add the number into your Photopass account when you get home just like any regular PP card number. However, you will have to purchase the print package unless you have the PP+ card with you. PL photos are not included with the regular PP unless you purchase your official PL photo.

The official stance on ride photos is that you must take note of your photo ID and return to the ride with the plus card within 48 hours. I would not expect them to accommodate you beyond that, but you may get lucky. Just don't depend on it.
