PhotoPass Editing Problems

Having an AP for the first time, I was looking forward to taking full advantage of PhotoPass.
I then found out that editing--adding borders, etc.--is now available only on an iPhone, with the Disney app.
So I borrowed a friend's iPhone.
I installed the app. Opened. Chose a picture. Clicked on "edit." Chose a border ("Passholder" of course!).
Then I clicked the check mark. That brought me back to the "edit" page.
I clicked on the check mark again, which seems to be the only option for saving or downloading.
A box pops up that says "Exporting image . . ." Then the screen goes black, the app crashes, and I am back at the phone's menu page.
If I just save a picture without adding a border or sticker, it does save.
Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks.

Honestly, I am shocked it I still available on the iPhone and would be surprised if it is going to work.

It used to be available via computer. I didn't see it on my computer, so I called tech support.
The CM told me that the extras are no longer supported on computer, but were available on the app. Nope. Not on Android. Only on iPhone.
I guess Disney isn't interested in that new fangled fad, the "internet."

No, I think they figured out the borders aren't really needed because everyone can download and edit the photos with their own photo editing software.

The problem with this thought is there was park and other Disney specific content that wasn't available elsewhere.

I have good photo editing software, so I don't need the Disney app for cropping and other processing--but the other Disney specific content was pretty and easy to use.

Having borders available only on the IOS app is how DLR has functioned for years. It's a convoluted PITA, but it's better than nothing.

Exactly and that is what Disney forgot when removing the photo editing portion.
They didn't forget; they just don't care. We buy it anyways, so why should they bother keeping the "extra's" - especially when they had pretty big issues with the editing site as it was. It's like anything with a business, until they see a decline of their money; they have no incentive to make things better etc.
