I'm sure I read you get a discount on the Photopass cd if you're a DVC member, can anyone confirm this please?

Do I need to imput something in the promotional code box to get it?

Thanks

I'm not sure, but I think that was a limited time promotion.

Currently there is not a DVC discount. You can prepurchase your photopass cd. The cost is $100 instead of the normal $125. Here is the link to prepurchase the CD. link

I have also heard that you can purchase the CD before leaving the park (at Disneyland) for 60.00

You also can purchase individual photos from the free online site for up to 30 days after the trip.

if you pre order the cd how long is it good for? and how long does it last - meaning if we visit more then once a year can we have the photo's from each visit put on the cd?

I just pre-orded mine today (for 99.95) and It said something about the photos only being there for 30 days after your trip.

This is the first time we have used it, We are doing the grand Floridian Photo shoot (thats the main reson why I choose to do it)
I hope we can find enough photographers around the parks to make it worth it.

We used the photopass cd preorder for our last trip. We had about 125 photos on the photopass from our trip. By the time we edited a saved the edited photos, we had close to 175 pics on the disc. We didn't do the photo shoot at GF or anywhere else. Everytine we saw a photopass guy/girl we stopped for pictures. Also, some of the rides now use the photopass card.

We actually had fun stopping and hamming it up with the photographers.

how exactly does the pre order on the cd work? I get the fact that you pre pay for it, but then do you have to do all of the editing there at the park or can you do it at home? Do they give you some sort of code number that means you prepaid?

Go to the link in my first post. It explains how it all works. You pay upfront, they email you a confirmation code. When you get home you load your photopass online. You make all your edits. When finish, you order your cd and enter your code from your preorder.

Does anyone know how this works at Disneyland if you purchase the CD before leaving the park? I mean, do you just walk into the photo store and give them your card and they hand you a CD? Also, I think I heard that on this CD there are no options for add ons or borders..is this right? So, if you pre order, you do all this adding on and editing on line then get the cd? After that can you add things or remove things if you so choose?
We are going a big once in a lifetime family trip in May and there are Christmas scrapbooking gifts to plan for :)

We had no problems on our recent trip. They were EVERYWHERE. :)

We ended up with, after border adds, crops, etc, with about 700+ photos on the CD's they sent. To me, it was WELL worth it!

You do it at home.

When you preorder the CD, they send you a promotional code (DON'T LOSE IT).

When you get home, you add your photpass numbers to your account. You can then edit the pictures, add borders to them, crop, etc. Each time you add a border, edit, or crop the picture, it saves as a NEW picture in your account.

When you're done, you simply click on the photocd offering, click the "add to cart" button, and then checkout.

At checkout, you enter your promotional code. It covers the cost of the CD AND standard shipping. We got ours in less than a week.

One you get the CD can you take it to a local store and print the pictures? Do you have to have one of those release forms?

Thanks,

i've printed all kinds of pro shots at our local photo printing and never once been asked for a release form.

havn't printed disney ones though but i'm sure they won't be asking for a release for that either.

Yes. You can do whatever you want with them. Print them, copy them, distribute them, etc. I think the ONLY thing the copyright release is specific about is you can't use them in advertising or marketing. Any personal use is allowed.

IF you run into a local store that gives you grief, Disney includes the copyright release right on the CD. You can print it and bring it to the store OR just bring them the CD and let them see it.

I think it varies by store....heck, I think it might vary by employee when you have them printed or go to pick them up.

I've had some stores not say a thing.

I've had others (one of our local WalMarts, for example) ask for a release. Heck, I've had them ask for a release on digital pictures my WIFE took of our kids, because they thought they were pro shots.

But Disney includes the copyright release on the CD, so no matter what, you're covered.

How fast do you get the email code? I am close to 30 days and want to buy them before they are gone.
